No swag raps moved the needle this year but songs like Lucid Dreams, Sad!, finesse, or in my feelings did.

It depends on who's saying it and how they say it.

In general, it's a turn off but you have someone like Jay...who is a fukking beast, those lines carry so much more weight and actually can translate into being something substanative when he says it, because aside from it being slick as fukk it's coming from a real place.

Lot's of rappers are some fake it til you make it, balling on a budget and putting on for the audience types. When this nikka Jay brags....

Songs can be popular and classic without going top on billboard especially among black folk
