So what’s the solution? Follow Steve Bannon’s advice and hire white boys?

I am a senior network engineer and it is pretty rampant. There are a few Indians that are legit but most range from not knowing enough for their position or nothing at all. I have seen four/five of them working on one call that should only take one, because they need the support. They usually get shyt as far as pay from their direct firm because have about 1-2 more firms above theirs, and also they take it because they sponsor them for access to the country.

Y'all brehs don't see how this is a slippery slope?

Man the cheating I saw in school was :wow:

They legit had all the previous tests and lab reports.

Can't front because I wish more black collectively did this. Especially in high paying fields....

Instead it's like our "best and brightest" gravitate towards soft degrees.

This same exact post could have been written by an alt-right race realist incel but about black people.

Bingo. Indians in the tech field are overrated by the media. There is a clear agenda, to make them look like some type of tech superheroes.

Countries like USA, could find more qualified people, black people, in places like Washington, Atlanta or Memphis. When i visited Howard U, there were so many great coders, doing amazing things.

They’re not talented enough :mjpls:

hasn't there been studies on how Asians cheat the most

Granted I know these "studies" shouldn't be taken as fact or end all be all.

But if u been around Asians and news. There some truth
Its not a matter of cheating...

It's a matter of costs and perceptions such as you can get away with devaluing IT...By devaluing IT I am referring to the idea you can train Asians on the job because they are perceived as hard working and intelligent...The thinking is if a company can pay these guys 40k to do the job an engineer who demands 100k does that saves them 60k a year...

I am the lead on a data analytics project at my firm and have been working more closely with the network team these last few months...What I have realized quickly these last few months is anyone can click a mouse and learn the verbiage but not everyone can troubleshoot because there are multiple pieces to the puzzle...It's one thing to know your way around a GUI and another to understand all the underlying connections...

For example a virtual machine on VMware isn't just a GUI...The virtual machine has an operating system and underlying hardware, a physical server powering it...That physical server is connected to a switch, a circuit and behind a firewall...Now if i tell you the virtual machine has no internet access how could you possibly troubleshoot that any further if all you know is how to click network on the VMware GUI? That's why support requests with these "global delivery services" take so long to resolve, they go through "the motions" they're taught with limited understanding of how it all works...They check three things on the GUI and then ask for logs so someone else that knows the underlying systems can take a look at it...

This is all changing though due to cyber security...All these companies getting hacked has sent a strong message globally that you can no longer get away with devaluing IT unless you want to be the next CEO on the news explaining how you got hacked...

I agree with this. Indians are some of the best cheaters around. The get the scores (usually via cheating) to get in the right schools. Once in the right schools, they cheat, share old exams, etc. They get the grades and get the interviews at top companies. Once there, they learn all the unwritten rules and leverage their personal networks to help with their work. Then, they put other Indians on.

They are masters are working the system.

Can't knock the hustle. But, I've seen enough of them up close to know they aren't all top-tier talents.

Now, some of them are legitimately smart. Really smart. But, not the majority of them.

came in here to say this, the hustle is real

Good point:
The difference in tuition between top American and Indian universities is staggering. Tuition at Dartmouth is $41,736 a year, not including room and board, while most of the colleges of Delhi University cost about $150 to $500 per year
