Remember Def Jam 2006 lol?

Remember all the disgruntled employees from Redman to Ghostface to LL Cool j and DMX

Basically Ross & Jeezy have reached their respective mainstream peaks

Yep, funny how Ross and Jeezy was shytting on the older NY artists and saying that their time has passed. Both of them only dropped 4-5 albums and are pushing 40 years of age. Their time on the mainstream is on the beginning of the end.

They're still sitting on what's supposed to be his "money single", the Devil is a Lie joint with Jay...he'll be aiight...now if they drop that, it flops and he still has no momentum, then it's time to start worrying...but the fact that they held on to that suggests it's more a timing thing...rappers should really stop just throwing soft release dates out there unless they're SURE that's when the project is gonna drop, cause missed dates and "pushbacks" do nothing but build negative perceptions before the sh!t even drops...and it seems almost entirely to be a rap thing

Problem with rap nowadays is the singles-based marketing without much emotional attachment to the artist itself.
