Pay taxes to kill little kids in Yemen and Syria: :manny:

Pay taxes to give bankers their nth bail out: :manny:

Pay taxes to give Israel their nth billion dollar transfer payment: :manny:

Pay taxes to write off student loans: :angry::angry::angry:

The story of America. Half the population feels you can spend money as long as you don’t give it a fellow American directly.

I guess you believe toilet paper and paper towels do the same? :martin:

Money is actually printed. There is a system in place that handles the creation and destruction of money. If money works as some people have suggested, then inflation would never be a thing. Hell, debt wouldn't be a thing.

So I'll say it again. Debt forgiveness affects everyone. Why? Because you need to printing more money and increase the debt to cover said forgiveness. Inflation rises, Interest rises, Instability rises. So again, it's a matter of when it affects you.

So I have no problem with debt forgiveness, but don't be so silly as to pretend that it only affects a few people. It affects everyone, even if you don't have student debt. For (some of) the reasons above.

So is printing money the only cause of inflation? Is that what you're saying? And if that's the case we've doubled the money supply since 2008. Where is this rampant inflation?

We just wasted $1.9 trillion on F-35s that don't work. I'm sick of this "we don't have the money" shtick from people like you and the op and I don't even really have a dog in this fight.

10k forgiveness 5k credit for those who paid the loans off already
why dont they just say something like we'll forgive up to 30k, and if you arent claiming it you can claim up to a 30k tax credit? that would

-help everyone
-actually pass and be popular

progressives are terrible at messaging
