Pretty soon yall gonna be comparing Tatum to rookies “let JT have the game Cooper Flagg had.”
Comparing the guy you thinks the guy to a dude who just turned 23 is yikes
Tatum been getting killed on here since 2021

Casual NBA fandom is obsessed with aura, aesthetics and performative acts.
If you’re a talented player and you check these 4 boxes:
Casual fans will love you. They’ll label you as a “killer” and forgive or overlook all of your failures. They’ll even give you a “clutch” label even if the statistics don’t back that. You’ll be put on a pedestal and rated far higher than you deserve.
- Exudes natural swagger
- Has an aesthetically pleasing playing style
- Does performative tough guy shyt like constant scowling, trash talk, starting scuffles. Has “edge.”
- Plays a shyt ton of hero ball and loves to hunt for his shot in the closing minutes of games, especially the last shot.
Guys like Iverson, Kobe, Kyrie, Jimmy Butler and now Ant are all talented but highly overrated relative to their actual placing in history due to these exact factors.
The league is trying very hard to push Ant because they’re looking for their next American face and he checks all the right boxes, but if you’re really watching the games dude disappears constantly. Despite that he largely dodges criticism because he’s already developed that reputation for himself that casuals love.
These are the facts.
Tatum is at his most sympathetic/nobody is talking about him status at the moment. Is this about hating on Anthony Edwards (and missing the irony of doing so while propping up your player for getting hate) or keeping Tatum's name on the first page? It amazes me how willing people are to defend the players they're bias towards, at the expense of other players, instead of just being the change they'd like to see. Just be honest, a lot of y'all love hot take, purposely negative, surface level NBA rhetoric, despite screaming from the rooftops how much you hate it.

ANT is 4 years younger than Tatum
Game was pretty much done by the time he came back in
Thats on the coach
Why are we even mentioning Tatum right now?
fukk Boston nikka
Dudes in here be as bad as the Bey-hive or the Swifties the way they feel the need to bring down other players in defense of their favorite.
Why wouldn't we expect more from an 8 year vet who has been to countless conference finals and 2 NBA finals VS a guy getting to only his second conference finals

Easiest way to know "who's team" it is?The hate JT gets is rooted in more than hoops.
When JB has a pedestrian season next year despite being lauded as the franchise and having no Tatum around to impede him as an individual talent, you'll think Mary Shaw was posted up in here. Dead silent.
He's going to have more touches than he's ever had in his career & will finally be able to imprint his DNA into the team that Tatum has slowly eroded with his passive nature and inconsistenty. TheColi and First Take won't be able to blame that MCL in the middle of December, they'll just pretend like that they don't see it.![]()
Sounds like projection to me lil broTalk about how prom didn’t go using basketball players as avatars brehs
Sounds like projection to me lil bro
The Coli would be KILLING him right now
Upping threads that was made in 2019 on some "I told you so". With weirdo hating posts calling Tatum everything under the sun
But somehow Ant Edwards
- Has a "wolf gene"
- Has swag
- Michael Jordan's son
And everyone looks the other way![]()
I like Anthony Edwards. But he had 18 points with 0 impact. Julius Randle was clearly the best player on the Timberwolves tonight. The Coli will be quiet as a church mouse tonight as expected
The problem with Tatum is, he receives Bron and Kobe level accolades when he’s not on their level.
