I think its time to make a case for my favorite artist of all time, Krayzie Bone

Before I get started, no need for anyone to say but he's not even the best in his group, he clearly is but I digress

The whole Bone journey got kick started by him spitting a verse to Eazy over the phone that he loved

Exhibit A:

Never spit a weak verse on two classic albums (E. 1999 Eternal & Art Of War)

The star of Art of War with his Legendary hooks and dope verses

Exhibit B:

I feel people know his work with the group so lets move to the solo stuff

Thug Mentality is a classic double disc, where he outshined artists like Big Pun, Fat Joe, MJG, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg and all the rest

Exhibit C:

Ok everyone should know that album, lets move on

When he is called upon for a feature he doesn't disappoint

Exhibit D:

Just a little taste (pause)

Ok bone fans know he has a talent of redoing other peoples tracks on the fixtapes, I know you're saying what I need to hear that, dont worry I got you

Exhibit E:

nas-one mic redo

Young Jeezy redo

The Gawdfather 50 cent redo

Fabolous Redo

One Republic Redo

Too many to post but you get the point

Ok Im getting tired but thats a nice start, I didnt even get into his other solo work and how he still puts out dope music today

In closing I get why people call Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, Pac and a few others Goats no doubt but he has been very consistant his whole career with the group and solo work, I just don't get why he makes so much great music but there's barely a word about him

God Bless Everyone, Im out

I havent heard Krayzie's whole catalog but I have his first 2 albums. I think he's one of the most complete artists. And yes he deserves that goat push. I think it's because he's in a group. That might be the reason why he's over looked so heavy. I laugh when Drake gets mentioned in anything. Krayzie, Bizzy, and 3 Stacks will smoke almost any style and almost any mc.

Past year or so, there’s been a push to give bone thugs way more credit than they deserve. :francis:

No the push is to finally get them some fukking recognition because they’ve been left out and forgotten by the Hip Hop media. All these 20 year anniversaries, mixtapes, remasters etc and no one says shyt when it’s Bone. They deserve respect for the first 3 albums alone.

Nobody forgot about Bone Thugs :mjlol:

People forgot Freestyle Fellowship, but don’t get me started. :francis:

So this song is wack?

The level of wackness in hip-hop has risen exponentially. I’m just saying they’re being greatly overrated; I’ve seen threads calling them the GOAT group, and now this thread about Krayzie Bone being GOAT. :camby:

All these award shows and things celebrating MCs from the 90s and notnonce have I seen any of them acknowledge Bone. I don’t remember them being mentioned on VH1 Honors or anything like that

Greatest of all time

See here's the problem

I would honestly need to figure out which Bone Thug was which then try to pick him out of the classic songs just to even begin to analyze this claim..

But I just stop right there.

The GOAT would stand out from the group like Busta Rhymes did in LONS (not that Busta is a GOAT contender, just that the GOAT would leap out against any background)

The simple fact that I am trying to recall which one he is says everything

But

I still to this day only understand like 4 phrases in Crossroads. All their shyt. Sounds like foreign language Rap or sumn

Bone is fun to listen to and they made alot of cool songs and a few heaters, but I don't know if they have bars or not. And I was 20 in 1995 so I was right there
