They only have 2 reliable scorers. Bench is washed. Duncan is washed. Green is damn near washed. How is it not an issue of talent?
So they won 67 games and played historic defense according to the analytic nerds and all of y'all were guaranteeing us a SAS-GSW WCF and saying Cleveland had no chance against either but all of this time they just didn't have the talent to compete with a team I was told only had two great players who didn't trust their teammates, a terrible coach no better than the last guy, and couldn't hold a lead?

this was taken from spurs talk. It's crazy the amount of time the spurs lost with home court advantage in the playoffs..

spurs talk said:
2001 Spurs-Great reg season.Dominant first 2 rounds then pistol whipped by Lakers.

2004 Spurs-Great reg season.Dominant 1st 6 games of playoffs,outclassed Lakers 1st 2 games then choked like dogs.

2006 Spurs-Best win total til date.Lost almost every pivotal close game in series, including game 7 on their home floor to a team who choked every close game in the finals.

2011 Spurs-Lost to 8th seed

2012 Spurs-Won 20 games in a row.20 fukking games in a row!,then lose 4 straight to Thunder.

2016 Spurs-Set franchise for most wins to total collapse in the 2nd round.Lost one game all season at home, then lose 2 games in one series to Thunder

they could've easily had 2 or 3 more ships had they handled their business with HCA. for the record jordan never lost a series with HCA, lebron lost 3 times with HCA, Kobe lost twice

they won 67 games while resting players and had historically good defense.....:francis:

i knew yall would pull this, and act like they were never that good to begin with

I wouldnt say that they weren't that good but I thought their offense has been sus all year.

I went to the Wizards-Spurs game early in the season, the one where Brad Beal hit the game winning 3 over Aldridge

Watching that game I was like :wtf: at watching how 1990s esque the offense became. 6 months earlier they were playing the same motion ball movement offense that drove everyone nuts, that's inspired GSW to dominate the league.

No excuses for the Spurs. That team got old real quick and you can't hide Duncan's age behind young pieces.

But let's give credit to the Thunder. In think Durant and Westbrook have managed balance each others games and they low key have a nice front court rotation a good enough one to.compete with golden state.
