That video was too short.

Check this one out.

Not the GOAT obviously, but he gives Bron a run for his money at the position. His assist numbers were always silly for handling the ball as little as he actually did, the rock is often out of his hands like a hot potato and being converted for buckets before the other team even knew what hit them. Putting the damn ball right between the likes of Michael Cooper and Hakeem Olajuwon's legs. Laughable shyt.

For some reason, I never saw young Larry B highlights, he was actually athletic :ohhh:

I think I would take him over Bron:leon:

Would hardly be the most ridiculous thing, really. Bird had one of the greatest five-year peaks in NBA history. He was scoring 25-30 PPG on 50/40/90 decades before it even became a thing, in addition to being arguably the greatest passer ever at his position and pulling down 10 boards a night. The only weakness in his game was on-the-ball man defense against guys with elite lateral movement, but he was a great help defender and an absolute pest for other teams playing the passing lanes, did have 3x All-Defense 2nd Team honors.

He won three consecutive NBA MVP's for good reason.

'84: 24/10/7 on 49/25/89 (55% TS)
'85: 29/11/7 on 52/43/88 (59% TS)
'86: 26/10/7 on 50/42/90 (58% TS)
'87: 28/9/8 on 53/40/91 (61% TS)
'88: 30/9/6 on 53/41/92 (61% TS)

Kevin McHale actually gets slept on majorly. Dude was obscenely skilled and blisteringly effective on the low block like nobody's business. In the last 30 years, only Dr34m tops him for big man footwork and low post supremacy IMO. He was putting up 26 PPG on 60%+ (!) at his best, including on Sampson and Olajuwon themselves in the '86 Finals. The only reason he didn't take FMVP is because Larry Legend was on some 24/10/10 (rounding 9.7 RPG and 9.5 APG) for the series.

Kevin McHale was an ugly white guy with an aesthetically uninteresting game. Results don't matter on the coli. Only pretty fadeaway bricks in double coverage.

Haha yeah, "Cacs" and all that. It's alright. Larry and Kevin level of skill in particular actually was fishscale though. Like, you really do have to go and get a Lebron James to find an equivalent 'forward' with that level of court vision and playmaking ability, really do need a Hakeem Olajuwon for a greater array of effective post moves and footwork on the low block among big men. It's all there. Kevin was All-D 1st Team level as well, tenacious with very bothersome length.

There's a reason these dudes easily swept Jordan's early Bulls teams despite his individual brilliance and managed to eat in the Showtime era when the East was also possibly at its strongest ever with the likes of the early 80s Sixers, late 80s Pistons and (underrated) Bucks in the mix, the latter of whom you probably know actually had the third highest winning percentage of the decade on the whole behind LAL and BOS. Throw a consistent cog like The Chief in that front court and an absolute dog like DJ to run the ship, that's a superteam ready to throw down with any at their best.
