I'll try to add some others. Dope choices so far. Bleek was never as bad as people it out. he had the unfortunate pressure of being lifted up as the "new and improved Jay-Z." I swear one of my best friends from high school is his biggest fan. Bleek is like his favorite rapper. M.A.D.E. and 534 were both dope albums. Coming of Age and Understanding had great songs on them.

Another thing that didn't help Bleek was Sigel coming through as the most talented artist signed to the Roc. Then Cam came. Even Freeway. Just a lot of either unique rappers, or well known rappers came in and sort of took the wind out of his sails. The Diplomats took off, State prop had a strong fan base. Let alone kanye West coming along. Bleek sort of got put in a bad spot. Bleek was always one hit away.

The original idea I think was for 9th Wonder to pull a DJ Premier/Group Home and produce most if not all of 534 but it didn't go down. That would've been really dope. 9th Wonder and Just Blaze produced the best songs on there. Has Bleek done an album since?

I was never cared for bleek that much, but this nikka really has no lane in 2014..Which is sad...

He just cant shake that perception that he's jay's lil man....

And the Roc-A-Fella brand helped him more than anyone

534 was a dope ass album, whole thing was overshadowed by Dear Summer though. He had a decent career and is on a few classics, he's still making music it just all seems to be free mixtape shyt.

Is he still Jays hype man?
