Not going to start about whether or not I'm from the street, or have the stripes to speak on Meek's music, but as someone who loves 'street' shyt, Meek doesn't cut it for me, dudes like Starlito, Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel, Young Buck give you the street shyt from a real perspective…Meek often comes off insincere, and doesn't have the grit and authenticity to make him a compelling rapper, period. As far as street shyt, I think his time and experiences were extremely limited, yeah he TALKS about it, but he doesn't give you the kinda bars the others I mentioned (plus others) give, where you feel that shyt in your heart and under your skin…Meek is like a street rapper lite…plus he comes off like an a$$hole, a petty and entitled dude who'd laugh at those beneath him, instead of giving them a hand up.

actually, meek is good at that stuff when he wants to be.

he just has alot of shallow tendencies. especially when he started getting more & more money. truth be told, most street rappers in their mid-20s and under are just as shallow nowadays.

agree & disagree.

freeway being the 1st round draft pick rookie in the starting lineup for the championship team definitely helped save freeway's draw.

but at the same time, it was understood that freeway was out of his element while cassidy was already pretty much the city's battle champ. i always wondered how freeway ended up battling cass. i always figured that they singled him out cuz he had the biggest buzz and prolly cuz they knew he had no chance against cass as well. but imagine if cassidy battled oschino instead.
