Some of you nikkas have short memories.
The Meritorious Manumission Act of 1710 was the birth of the black church since our ancestors who were free'd as slaves were already indoctrinated with the christian belief system.
So we have no other choice but to be 'Christians' during that time period, it was in the slave code laws.
We just took what we knew and ran with it which in turn helped stable the civil rights movement but let's not act like Christianity was indoctrinated by our European slave masters.

All you did was see me posting an opposite view of the OP and assumed I'm here doing what he's accusing ppl of. I'm saying the ppl who accuse the black church these days, are probably NOT accusing the black church of yesteryear. There's no MLK's today, there's not even any JEsse Jackons coming up out of the church rising up to be leaders....that's what I'm talking about. The focus is not the same and that's not really even debateable.
Another point you misread or misinterpreted for your argument.....whereas you yourself tried to make it sound like you were, and I had never been and I needed to be going. I don't consider myself as any religion. Even the bible speaks of correction regarding church, but according to you nobody is allowed to point out flaws in the (black)church? Okay man....
