Carlton did not intend to be funny. when he danced, listened to his music, used odd phrases etc.
Will was making jokes he expected others to find funny, and he laughed at the jokes too.

I liked both but I felt like Will was trying to either keep up with or Outdo Carlton in the later seasons.. all that unnecessary screaming and shyt lol. It was bad still is funny to me though.

They were both GOAT characters. Once the writers realized how funny Carlton could be, the show became even better.

I can absolutely agree this is a legit debatable statement.

Carlton carried a lot of episodes in the second half of the series and a episode focused on him was just as entertaining as a will one

Carlton came into his own the last two seasons but you can really see Will’s growth as an actor with great comedic timing starting in S3 and going forward.


The unsung hero of the show is Geoffrey. Dude was N E V E R not funny and anytime he had his own storyline he killed it.
