Let's be honest Dragonball Z was better b4 everybody turned into a Super Saiyan

It would have been neat if Toriyama had gone with his original idea of making Gohan the hero after the Cell saga.

There could have been further adventures and sagas taking place during that 7 year timeskip, chronicling Gohan's journey to become "that dude" like his pops


If they just toned down the villains enough for characters other than saiyans to be able to beat them

Not gonna lie the DBZ Abridged Youtube Series got me about certain issues I didn't think about the first time around. After seeing 18 give Vegeta that work again it got me me thinking.....

How the hell did Dr. Gero make androids strong enough to break a super saiyan's arm when he didn't know what the hell a super saiyan was? As they pointed out Gero only had information on the Z-Warriors BEFORE they went to Namek/King Kai's Planet where they all leveled up tremendously. His creations shouldn't have had a chance

Why the hell was 17 and 18 that strong but Gero's body or 19 wasn't? Why the hell would you design a weak body or yourself to the point where your own creations can easily kill you? Then again maybe he knew that might happened which he design Cell to absorb both of them

Why didn't 17 or 18 have them energy draining sensors inplanted in their hands like 19 and Gero had?

You can't really apply Dragonball Z logic to the real life situations. The reason why Android 19 and 20 seemed weak is because there was a negative reaction to them. They looked corny and campy. So they were replaced by stronger and cooler Androids. Ironically I hated them, especially the girl. I like the throwback look of 19 and 20. Krillin's simp ass married the girl android too. fukking idiot.

And it's a damned shame what they did to Piccolo.

There only character who was meant to turn into a Super Saiyan was Goku, during his fight with Frieza, this was supposed to be the conclusion of the series that's why you had the feeling when it happened along with you seeing it for the first time. However due to the show's popularity they had to continue Z. Once they introduced the Saiyan concept and continued the series, they couldn't go back on it, so it wasn't really any surprise that they introduced more. It was fine up until the buu saga where kid Trunks and Goten became super saiyans as kids you could tell that Toriyama couldn't be bothered anymore, especially if you compare it to how he did the Super Saiyans in the android/Cell saga. When Future Trunks arrived and turned into a super Saiyan in front of goku , Gohan going ssj2 and Vegeta turning into a super saiyan to save Goku and then proceeding to give Android 19 that work .

Despite have 4 super saiyans(Goku, Gohan, Trunks and Vegeta) the likes of Piccolo, Yamcha and Tien still got to shine, 17 vs Piccolo , so I have to disagree the series was fine even more people started becoming super saiyans, it didn't feel forced in the android/cell saga like it did in the Buu saga and was generally more balanced.

Damn, am I the only one who like the Buu story arc? I hated Kid Buu and Slim Buu was alright but Fat Buu was THAT ALIEN. It was good to see a more lighthearted, but extremely powerful villain. I got tired of these super serious villains cocking their heads and going " Hmm (that is like an Anime staple)." I never payed attention to those stupid Saiyan kids. Going SS at the age of 6. The "fusion dance."

When adult Trunks showed up that was cool but then I was like they wasted two villains in Mech Freiza and King Cold. You go through a year of storylines with Freiza nearly destroying the galaxy and he gets sliced and diced in less than two minutes? The the more powerful King Cold gets gunned up and capped quick after begging for his life? That's when I knew this shyt was about to jump the shark.

Oh, once again fukk those teenaged Androids. Extra lame.

Remember, Mecha Frieza and King Cold temporarily came to earth. Dr. Gero saw the power of them 2 and decided to far surpass that in the three years before the androids were awaken. He figured out that there was no way Goku could surpassed that level of Mecha Frieza since the last recorded fight from him was the fight with Vegeta.

Wait a minute. So Gero built himself and 19 in that three year span and didn't wonder wtf was going on with Frieza? Especially considering Frieza would have destroyed the fukkin planet.

OK, WHEN the hell did Gero build the androids cause now I forget and am getting confused.

He built 17 and 18 before Trunks arrived, way before. Only thing that makes sense is he built them around the time Nappa and Vegeta showed up. At the latest.

The Buu saga was definitely the weakest and you can tell Toriyama didn't wanna write that shyt anymore. So many wtf moments...

Goten and Trunks being involved just to introduce the fusion dance. Them going SSJ at such a young age, it must have been that SSJ sperm . I did fukk with Gotenks tho...

Vegeta all of the sudden saying fukk his family and letting Babadi turn him Majin for more power. Dude was already too far in as a good guy for that heel turn.

And Goku then agreeing to fight him at the risk of waking up Fat Buu . If dude would've just went SSJ3 and knocked out Vegeta, he could have destroyed Fat Buu then. Goku shouldn't have worried about Vegeta getting mad cuz dude was dead and going back to the after life anyway.

We don't know exactly when, the only thing that's been said was that 17 and 18 were originally normal humans, but Gero kidnapped them at some point and turned them into cyborgs. After he did that he realized he couldn't control them, so he built 19 and then had 19 make him into an Android. At some point in here he also came up with the idea of Cell, but since it would take too long he just had his computer work on it.

They never really gave a timeline other than at some point between Goku beating the Red Ribbon Army and the day they attacked that city.

They had a kid together who looks just like him so you know what they were up to behind the scenes

Just energy blasts over and over with 4849848494984 hours of screaming and powering up...when goku fought tien or that Dhalsim lookin dude there was also techniques used that did not involve spamming a kamehameha like a muppet on amphetamines...each character was represented well with a great and diverse move set...by the time DBZ ended all you had was kamehameha, spiritbomb and large pointless ki blasts
