Wow this show is terrible. Stephen A is now a unabashed c00n, quick to drone and on and gesticulate to emphasize his generally terrible points. And Max Kellerman, while smart, has the personality of a doorknob. Plus his voice is annoying as hell to listen too.

And the end of the day, First Take was always about Skip essentially trolling athletes with outrageous statements, then watching players and clowns like Screaming A reacting to him. Shyt was comedy.

This new First take is hot garbage.

Agree but the show had fallen off before skip left. It went away from funny trolling stories to political bs for half the show that would put you to sleep. But yeah without skip even if they went back to the old format it wouldnt survive with kellermans dull personality.

i stopped watching soon as the finals ended, which is what ive done the past however many years. that show is about basketball & football...and sometimes boxing. its the offseason. i cant honestly say whether its worth it or not, because i just dont care in the summer

Uh the dude actually spits facts and figures accurately. Anyone that considers themselves a boxing fan knows Kellerman's knowledge base is wide. However he is best suited in the BACK of the camera, not the front.

The day Michelle Beadle backed down Stephen a Smith....stopped watching that day!

Bad enough they used the forum for more than sports. But that ray rice thing was the final nail. I just started watching segments constantly on YouTube....but Stephen a is just a character instead of sanity to skip. I feel like max is a good fit and could wash Stephen a most topics.

Say what you want about Skip,but Skip was true to his self.Yes some of things he said you didn't believe but Skip was who he was.Max is smart and has boxing knowledge but personality wise he was no Skip.I bet that new Skip and Shannon Sharpe show becomes a hit

I stopped watching quite a while ago. The "takes" just seemed too contrived and the show seemed to take itself too seriously.

They'd attempt to have serious debates on the silliest of subjects: "Should LeBron James have farted on the bench or out on the court at last nights game?"

I don't even waste time downloading their podcast anymore.
