As i said.. unless you are rich you will have to sacrifice in one or two areas to enjoy your time.

Was just in LA for a week, last week. You guys probably have the best weather, that’s for sure. Some good Asian and Mexican foods spots. It’s a vast city that’s spread out and it takes time to get places that aren’t far at all due to traffic. I guess it’s a city, but when you’re from NY, it hardly feels like one in comparison. I was in Echo park and Silver Lake one day. That felt kind of neighborhoodish to me and I liked that you could walk around etc.
Been to LA 3 times but never to other parts of the California. Would love to see the rest of the coastline going up north. I probably would love to live out there but it’s just not worth it to me. When I do leave NYC, which will break my heart, it won’t be for another expensive state. More than likely won’t be in the US at all.

City/state that comes close is New York. I plan to visit Cali once I stack up this bread. The West coast in general I always enjoyed how laid-back the atmosphere is. Like Hennessy said, East coast is like dog eat dog world. Our weather shapes the overall attitude of folks plus the high density can be a overkill.
When it comes to nightlife NYC and Miami are the winners. My only grip is Cali is very expensive and earthquakes.

Might as well call Florida an expensive state as well if we focusing on Southern Florida. I was in Fort Lauderdale last September and nothing about that place was “cheap”
