lol rap, music in general, had it's time and place but now our culture moves to fast and is to open for anything of quality to come out of it, consistently.

Lemme ask you this... How old are you?

Because I realize the older I get the least I'm impressed by dumb sh1t that I used to be obsessed over...I'm sure the average 19 year old is excited about hip hop in 2013...

i'm 27, and i too am becoming really hard to impress to the point where i realize i don't' really like anything.

only things that are exciting are tde albums, im being 100% honest

what TDE albums?

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
more old people complaining....yeah
the funny thing is, nobody complained about the quality of music in here.. so what are you talking about??

younger people don't even get excited about it anymore.. you play a song for 2 weeks then never listen to it again.. nobody cares about any upcoming albums nor are they even remembered in 2 months

this is the same group of people saying j cole is fading (just dropped another gold album this year). who asked why busta signed to cash money (just dropped 2 albums/mixtapes and got another one dropping) asking whatever happened to big kritt (dropped one of the best mixtapes 6 months ago)

same people who couldn't tell you 5 albums they are waiting anxiously to hear..

hip hop is watered down with this release a new track every two weeks and 5 mixtapes a year formula and it's mostly younger people who say this

nothing exciting in hip-hop unless you're doing it yourself

Lets be honest though 2013 was just a particularly weak year.

I saw this shyt coming too. I swear what it comes down to is the rappers that blew up 3-5 years ago were holding it down in 2013, and none of them are capable of making genuinely unpredictable music. People were trying to say Wale, Tyler, J Cole etc actually had the potential to expand their creativity:russ:
