That's not a knock against Reasonable Doubt though, 1996 was one of (IMO the best) the best years in Hip Hop. There were some GOAT status albums dropping on the same day and within a week of each other that year. Just think about how big 2/13/1996 was and that was just one day in the second month of the year.

One of the best years for hip hop ever...so thats not saying much...RD is still a classic. Def put it above IWW...Just as good as ATLiens (my favorite Kast album)...All Eyez On Me is better imo (My favorite album of all time). Prolly in my top 3 for that year. Those were some crazy times for hip hop...glad I grew up on it back then...young nikkas comin up nowadays will never get a run close to that...the Score....Ironman...Hell On Earth...Wrath of The Math...Ridin Dirty...Nocturnal...Black N Dangerous...Dubee AKA Sugawolf...Bow Down...Kollage...Can You Feel Me...Gettin It...Half Thang...Seasoned Veteran...At The Speed of Life...h...Ice Cream Man...The Ressurection...Perfection...Killa Kali...Fly shyt...The Final Tic...FBI...Piece Of Mind...etc...etc

:ohlawd: a new classic every fukkin week :whew:

A Mississippi Cotton Field
dap solely based on the premise of the thread.

it was SO much crack music released in 96.

ATLiens
It Was Written
DJ Shadow's album
7 Day Theory
Iron Man
Stakes is High
The Final Tic
Smoothe the Hustler's album
Muddy Waters
Ridin Dirty
Busta Rhymes The Becoming
Real Live
Westside Connection
Mr. Mike's Wicked Ways album

I listened to all of these albums more than Reasonable Doubt.

RD is still a classic, though. I can't say differently.

This is true.. But its not a slight to RD, just a testament to how 1996 was a seminal year for mainstream hip hop...

I personally rank IWW, The Score, AEOM, Muddy Waters, 7 Day Theory, Soul On Ice, Ridin Dirty, Hell On Earth, Atliens and Iron Man above it...
