I don't think franchise tag should exist more than anything or restricted free agent

how would like to be playing for the jacksonville jags and ur a top free-agent and the 49ers & seahawks are willing to give u a good contract, but the jags franchise tag u for the year and i know u are getting a top 1 year salary, but u lose out playing for the 49ers and they end up picking up someone else

or u playing for the cavs and u become a free-agent and the clippers and the heat is calling and boom the cavs match the offer

agreed. there shouldn't be artificial constraints just because some people want to avoid some places.

Max salaries, RFA, Franchise tags, caps rising far to slow, and lack of consideration for the "home team" are the real problems.

This wouldnt work and before everyone comes in here saying bu.. bu.. but MLB doesnt have a salary cap Thats because you cant really buy a championship in baseball. The Yankees usually spend the most money every year but dont win every year. If I can get a team like Davis Lebron durant and Westbrook theres no way I could lose. If you take top superstars and put them on the same team in basketball the biggest problem would be is that there would be no one to challenge them.

no salary caps and no guaranteed contracts would create the best product on the field. Players playing for unlimited money and knowing it can end as soon as they suck.

That shyt would be :wow:

Somebody would pay Bron 100 million a year...probably the Knicks

In baseball which has no cap... superstars go to horrible teams just because they overpaid. Would Lebron or Durant go to the bucks if they paid them way more than any other team?

Howard left 30 mill on the table to go to the rockets

I agree it would be fun watching superstars play together, but at that point why have 30 teams. I can 4 teams with the top tier superstars starting and all the second tiers would come off the bench.
