There is no plight.

It is easy for anyone to be successful and stay out of trouble in this country.

All you literally have to do is Excel in school and not get arrested and you will be very successful.

In terms of cops, all you literally have to do is be respectful and stay calm and you won't get shot. In all these cases the person getting arrested is provoking the cops in some way. Your ego is not worth getting shot.

And no, no one forced anyone to do drugs, but when you have a community filled with victims and weak minds, some of them will seek the solace of chasing a high.

I only brought that up to show why we lost our momentum after the mid 70's. We've recently started to recover from it and if we're lucky will have the opportunity to watch the same thing happen in white rural America.

You usually make some good points @DrX but blaming the generations before, who have been though 20X's the stuff that you have been through and sacrificed themselves to put you in the position you are is not the way to go. Don't get me wrong, every elder is not spitting gospel, but to make it seem like the generation of the Civil rights era is the reason is simply not true.
