Let's be real right now... will any rapper stay at the top of rap as long as Lil Wayne?

You obviously missed the entire point

You say Wayne stays on top. But you quick to shoot down everyone else's answers to who's more on top... Based on you saying "it means everything included"

Well if the other major artist don't care to drop 150 features in one year. Or 10-15 mix tapes in the past decade. Or count their hits cause it has the same 5 hot rappers on it. Then they can't be compared

Yea there's wack jay verses. But there's more wack Wayne verses. But the ratio is better to jay cause he don't drop 200 songs a year.

Wayne=Carmelo. Shooting up all them shots to average the same as.....

Jay=Durant. Higher percentage. But takes less shots and yet still wins the scoring title most years

if Jay is Durant, Wayne has to be Kobe....cause when it really matters.....you don't bet against him,and he got them rings

You're being a bit overzealous with the years breh

Wayne wasn't on top in 2006. T.I., Kanye, 50 and Jay were. Wayne was on the rise in 06, was bubbling over by 07 and was out of there by 08

This. Wayne wasn't "on top" until "C3", in the middle of '08.

Big Sean had shyt in the top 40 what are you talking about
we all know that radio does not dictate Hip Hop anymore, if you think so then you're living in the past
the anticipation is not high for Wayne's next release

You're the homie but nah....he wasn't anywhere near the top in '06. And "C2" came out in '05 didn't it? 50 Cent was still doing a mill his first week in '05. Wayne didn't even have a multi-plat album until '08.

T.I., Jay-Z, and Kanye West was also outselling Wayne in '06, by a wide margin.

A look back on Wayne's meteoric rise:

2002 - Young dude trying to reinvent his image after everybody left Cash Money.

2005 - Still on Junior Varsity with Juelz Santana, Cassidy, Lloyd Banks, etc. but showing promise.

Early 2006 - People started paying attention to Weezy

Late 2006 - If people weren't paying attention, they were now. Absolute banger.

2007 - He was everywhere. He just needed the album/numbers to justify the attention he was getting.

2008 - Crown him :lawd:

Birdman don't get enough credit as a label head. He may fukk nikkas out their money (who doesn't :mjpls:) and may not be as eloquent as Diddy and Jay but, that ignorant azz nikka ushered Cash Money into two different eras.

Most labels would have crashed and burned after the Hot Boys left. He turned around and groomed Wayne into a megastar then signed Nicki and Drake, who might end up better than Wayne in the long run. Don't kill me for saying that. He might. To compare that to his peers, Diddy has been trying to recreate the magic of Bad Boy for the last 15 years. And Jay will never duplicate the dynasty that was the Roc. Master P. No. Suge Knight. Hahaha. I mean that shyt is unheard of. Cash Money/Young Money. shyt is like the Lakers, B. You thought shyt was over after the First 3-Peat. Then they came back a few years later and dominated again :wow:
