It was well known that Lonzo would need a period to adjust to the NBA 3 pt line and learn PnR:dwillhuh:

We are only 5 games in and it is not unusual for young guards to take YEARS to adjust to the NBA 3 pt line

Go look at Donovan Mitchell, Malik Monk, Frank Nitty or Fultz's percentages and get back to me about Ball.

That said, LWO been obnoxious about the nikka and even though I had him #2 on my draft board, its fukk that Michael Carter Williams ass nikka :camby:

Yeah, he'll be a story, but I'm not staying up late to check Lakers games just to see him play. We going to have to wait for the 'Lavar + LaMelo' combination for real entertaining BBB fukkery.

Lonzo's game just doesn't align with Lavar's hype for him.
I personally wasn't staying up for Laker games regardless. I'm a Knick fan; there's only so much garbage I can watch while maintaining my sanity:manny: I also could care less about Lavar and what he had to say. It's a very young season, but no rookie is currently living up to the standard that would be necessary to validate Lavar's antics to some people. I'll catch some of Lonzo's nationally televised games, but I'm really not pressed about "hype".

Marshall had lead in his shoes even before he tore his ACL.

Lonzo's potential is really dependent on his jumpshot, in addition to his height and vision his 3 point shot was the big selling point. Right now, his shot isn't falling so offensively he's been really limited, he needs the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his game.

I just dnt think Lonzo has the goods to be a top PG. Besides from his passing (which I think is overrated) I dnt think he brings anything else to the table. Alot of players are a jumpshot away from being special but it ain’t so easy. Plus he got too much quirky shyt wrong with his form and shot set up. So you gne have to tear that shyt all he way down.

Kendall got Taylor, I have no sympathy in my heart for him :martin:

I think Lonzo has the potential to be a top PG, but you can't look at him like traditional PGs, he's a modern PG that will probably be at his best in a 5 out motion offense similar to the Warriors where he's on the ball sometimes using high screens. While other times he's cutting to the rim without the ball with his goal of getting the defender in the corner to take a step away from his man so he can skip a pass there.

He's not the traditional PG like CP3 types, he's the type that grew up watching Curry pass it off and function off the ball like an SG at times. That's also why I think getting rid of D'Angelo was such a stupid decision, he needs another ball handler to play off of, which is probably what they want from Ingram long term but this year D'Angelo would have helped Lonzo out a lot.

He passed full court...something a lot of the haters said he wouldn't be able to do to professionals....Even Kidd wasn't as brazen. That alone makes me respect his accuracy and you can tell his dad is a huge fan of Wilt. Is he a god? no the dude is 19...we'll see if he can continue with those passes, and with the shooting of course.

Wasn't Kevin Love throwing passes just like that from his rookie season on too? I definitely remember him doing it in Los Angeles. It's a very specific skill, one that both Love and Ball practiced a TON before they came into the pros, and doesn't necessarily transfer to anything else.

Judge rookies in october brehs :mjlol:
While this is true, let's not act like the hype machine wasn't already crowning him before he even stepped on a NBA court. You can't be mad at folks who're putting him under the microscope. He'd be treated just like every other rookie if he didn't have all that noise behind him.

Same hype machine for Rose, and Paul...sometimes we have to ignore the hype and wait it out. October games never counted for much anyway.
