Lets be real. The only reason why Biggie is in anybodys top 5 is because Pac shytted on him.

Bullshyt . . dude's legacy benefits greatly from being associated with Tupac.

How many Tupac documentaries are there? How many book publishers felt comfortable putting out a book about Tupac?

How many Biggie documentaries are there? How many book publishers put out a book about Biggie?

There are books/documentaries about Tupac because Suge turned him into a drama queen and he was constantly talking shyt. By the time he got killed Tupac's entire career revolved around drama. Son was a walking soap opera. THAT'S why they wanted to write books and film documentaries about him. All that bullshyt that surrounded Death Row spawned a legion of Stans that couldn't get enough. That's who the documentary and book targeted.

Tupac had nothing to do with fostering Biggie's career or the respect he got as an mc. He got Method Man on his first album before Meth even knew Tupac, and this was when the Wu was 10 times more respected than Pac.

Ah lord... here's another thread tryin to rewrite history from an era the OP probably wasn't even around for. And no, being 5 years old at the time doesn't count.

If BIG was just some random rapper who was only hot in NY... nobody woulda given a fukk about a 2Pac record about him. 'Hit Em Up' was a big deal because it was about a rapper who was EASILY one of the most popular out there at the time, by another rapper who was one of the most popular. If that song had been about Chino XL, or even about Mobb Deep, it wouldn't have been the talk of hip-hop that summer. But of course, you'd only know that if you were around during that time. :smugbiden:

Lets be real. He was good but he wasnt even big like that outside of NY.

Nobody gave a fukk about Biggie except NY. It wasn't until Pac continuously doo doo'd on him when he got big ( no pun intended). It sucks that Biggie isnt as big without Pac but thats just the truth.

Lets not forget if he didnt die he was on his way to selling out faster than anybody ever.

Diddy and the Wallace family need to cut Afeni the check.

Both dudes were before my time but I've listened to alot of their music and it's not even close, Pac is miles better than Biggie.

When it comes to 90's rappers

Pac>Biggie
Nas>Biggie
Cube>Biggie
Snoop>Biggie
Hov>Biggie

I'm not saying Biggie wasn't a great rapper, but he's far from being the GOAT.

Cube and snoop aren't in biggies class

Snoop.is the most overrated rapper ever

Only in NYC tho. Outside of that nah.

It is what it is:manny:.
I'm from VA and Biggie was far and away the most loved rapper from his debut until his death.

And I didn't even like him that...I thought he was overrated. But it is what it is. This thread is dumb and wrong.
