Yea, Warriors are pulling the okie doke with the small ball thing with ppl still thinking about "death line ups" and such. In truth, the shortest guy on the court is Curry and he's still listed at 6'3, which is probably above mean average for a pg, and an underrated rebounder. Plus his backup is 6'7 (Livingston). Kerr is from the Phil Jackson Bulls era where Phil saw the advantage of a Ron Harper at point, so that positions 1-4 were all 6'6-6'8 and could switch everything defensively. That's what Shaun is for the Warriors.

Everyone else: Klay 6'7 shooting guard, KD 6'11 small forward, plug n play 7ft centers by committee and Draymond probably the only one undersized for his position (6'7) but he's unique, it'd be like saying Dennis Rodman was undersized.

Bulls were a lowkey plug in play "faux" small ball team (Toni at the 4, Dennis at the 5, kerr at the 1) bc since Toni was 6'11, Kerr was 6'3, and Dennis was unique, they were never really undersized (were actually bigger at most positions), and they still had 7fters by committee just in case. Warriors are the same way, a faux small ball team that actually has the height/length advantage at most positions, and plays pretty conventional. They just have ridiculous offensive sets and shooters.

this was a great post and even adds on to me previously citing how Kerr constructs the warriors off the bulls model of success as well. Great observation and post.

It's a chemistry issue...they will eventually gel and play at a quality level. Unfortunately they will not be good enough to beat Golden State in a play-off series. Probably can't beat the Rockets or Spurs either.

it is a lineup and poorly constructed roster by theory issue. This team has no interior size nor fortitude. Plus after sharifd abdur Rahim failed at pf. All this move people to the pf just because was and will always be bullshyt.
this team has no real stop gap in the paint on paper and no real frontcourt power. I never thought I would see the day when Donovan of all the most pedigreed coaches of all time. Would not properly staff his roster or setup his lineups. Without a real twin power threat afterwards. until the thunder utilizes their nightly mismatch every night on paper in the backcourt this will continue. Pg knows how to play the two opposite another all star from ramping with granger before geanger succumbed to injury. So this makes no sense to have this Sharif abdur like play to have Melo as a four. It is just sheer over thinking and not creating nightly mismatches first on paper. When creating nightly mismatches on paper is the beginning to high IQ bball and play.

That was in the playoffs in 2011.

Before melo got to the knicks, amare and raymond felton were putting in that work

there was a whole coaching fiasco that ensued in the next era after that and then Phil came. Trying to remember this timeline right. Simply cause I used to actually be all about the knicks before Melo and after cause I still had Jonathan bender on live x on the knicks before Melo and after the melo trade and was murderering the hood still.
with bender at the point with Melo and amare.

nope. They are just a bad fit. You have two ball dominant players playing the same position in the starting lineup. SMH.
