Both ECW and Attitude era were mainly shyt. They had some of the best characters of all time that were able to shine and develop enough of a legacy for both companies despite trash angles and trash matches taking up 97% of the time.
Exactly. It pains me that ECW gets hardbody recognition even though it was a cross between FMW and Memphis promotions. The only thing Paul did was just 90s the promotion up with edgy content which worked but wouldn't survive past 2001, hence why he wanted to do a more ROH/MMA style of content as time progressed.
I honestly don't know how yall run through them old Raws unless you haven't seen them. Nitro I can understand cause 95-98 WCW is probably the greatest roster of all time. Lot of gems in the midcard. But Raw?

Well on the real, 95-97 Raw was pretty legit due to the organic approach to the Attitude Era. Yet, once 1998 hit
. Raw around that period had:- Mabel's GOAT run
- Pillman's gotta gun
- HBK losing his smile
- Non damns giving Diesel
- Heel Hart
- Underappreciated Sid run

two things people need to realize before they talk down on ECW.
1.) ECW's prime was moreso 95-96
2.) ECW was way more than just weapon's matches. they had most of the best pure wrestling matches on television.

This is largely true. Eddie Guerrero gave that promotion the best match in the history of its existence. The RVD/Lynn and some of the Taz/Bam Bam stuff still holds up tho.

WCW was dead an Attitude Era was long gone by the time I started watching wrestling. So every now and then I watch some old stuff on the network and I gotta say both shows are fukking garbage lmao. ECW was the shyt..thankfully in my hometown there was a channel not on the cable system but the rabbit ear that aired ECW and other indies in the 90s on saturday afternoon...because staying up until 2 am to watch it on MSG wasnt really doable for me back then lol..mid 90s ECW was dope

shyt aired Saturday nights and replay on Sunday afternoons here. If you had DirecTV during the USSB era, ECW was aired in the upper 900 channels (PPVs included)
