Who’s saying it will even come to a fight, Gorilla will be backing up when it sees the sheer number of people. No animal even Apex predators will stand firm when the odds are against it. No one is saying physically man is the superior of the Gorilla…at least I hope so.

First issue is human physiology.
A human bone breaks with 14g of pressure. A half ounce of weed.
Against an animal.
Not just any animal.
a primate.
A gorilla, primate.
Sohh this would be in a habitat.
or enclosure familiar to said gorilla.
The first thing that will happen is.
Gorilla will feint and beat on his chest. The gorilla won't even get to running around the territory to feint or show dominance.
It is gonna be a quite a few dumbasses.
Who see the gorilla beat his chest and beat their chest. In some feral antagonistic dumbass show of strength.
Making said gorilla start to aggressively move in a pattern. That would have been a feint. Instead gorilla moving at twenty six to thirty miles an hour. Either on fours or bipedal. Sohh no human in this pack of hunid is moving fast enough to stop that wavr attack from sheer agitation.
Sohh when gorilla wrecks shyt in that manner. It will incite fear.
That fear will start to be ratcheted up to mortification. Then shock. Causing all normal movement and physiological damage. That will all affect the untrained party. In a manner that will hamper fight or flight. Where flight will become impaired.
Making this group fodder. Even if someone in the group physically tries to buck back. Gorilla will beast through any attack. Plus respond ferally. Resulting in bite attacks. A bite from a gorilla is 1300 psi. The equivalent of three old iceboxes being strapped together. Not fridge, the ol school ice box. Being strapped together snd hitting you swuare in the heqd. Yet in this instance 1300 per bite.
next gorilla know how to fashi9n tools and ferally use them like an animal. Meaning an untrained group of 100 dudes. Are not going to be able to craft make shift weapons in the manner or speed said gorilla can and will knock over trees snd thrash said group.
That mortiFication and shock will cripple this untrained group.
Leading to mass casulties and extreme deaths to the 100 person party.
Via maim and dismemberment.

While your point about intelligence is legit, your examples miss the mark. All those predators that you named have jaws (mandibles in case of ants) and teeth designed for catching and subduing and killing other animals larger than they are during a hunt by biting them. Humans don't have that for the most part. We were designed to catch and kill animals larger than us using weapons made with our intelligence and fine motor skills and only then to bite their flesh (after further preparation usually).
The same goes for much of our other anatomy involved in a fight and a hunt.
I think if we put our minds to it and could repeat the experiment many times and train humans in this kind of combat some (small number of) groups of 100 humans probably could figure out an effective strategy and win. But on a first try, any random 100 men? Tell Jesus I said hello.
