I don't know. Usually many wear it like a badge of honor. FYI only talking female-male rape, Eddie Long type stuff is another can of worms.

Naw I am talking male/male shyt. It's way more common than folks realize.

Yep...I have seen several cases where a young boy is either molested by a female his age or older and those around him or in the comment section (if it is public news) will say things like/QUOTE]

Except majority of those cases get exposed because the kid was bragging or the parents went through the kids phone :dead:

Now to be fair, black families
a) know they got rapists in the family
b) put pressure on the adults with kids to keep their kids away from the family rapist
c) would like to get said rapist up out the paint but distrust the legal system even more
d) victim blame, especially young girls that are more developed for their age.

Could you elaborate on that please

No one wants to be responsible for getting another black person locked up and trapped in the system. You'll catch more hell for "snitchin" than you will for actually being a rapist.

Wtf type of shyt is that? :dahell: SMH :aicmon:

A lot of us black people have to stop thinking that every black person is a representative of us. I think that was is even more heart breaking is in poverty striken black communities on an international level. I know that you can not save everyone, but the stuff is just depressing at times.

I believe it. Go spend some time at a facility or home for at-risk girls, you will think the numbers are even higher. I've gotten to the point where I can pretty much spot a chick that has been abused. I am also very aware of predatory traits as well. It's some really sick fukks out here and you have to be extremely careful and vigilant in regards to who you leave your children around. As crazy as it may sound, it's even worse for boys. It may not be everybody, but somebody is gonna listen with care and empathy to a young lady that has been abused. Nobody is trying to hear about a male being abused, and certainly not in a supportive and understanding way.

Based on what you have seen what would you say some of the signs are?

Hypersexuality is usually a dead giveaway. Now when I say hypersexuality, I ain't talking about just enjoying sex. I am talking about an unhealthy pre-occupation with sex. If you are 13 (any age really) and literally all you can talk about is sex and everything gets related back to sex, something ain't right. If you are 13 and you have fukked 20 or 30 or more people, something ain't right. Another sign is going to the other extreme. Being totally non-sexual and resistant or even fearful of anything remotely sexual. I have seen girls that straight up break down over the prospect of going to a sex ed class.

I think both @Poitier and @bcrusaderw have a point. Let's say a child is 5 years old and is being touched inappropriately by someone in their family or someone that is close to their family. Do they know it's wrong at that time? Probably not unless someone taught them it was and how many parents are teaching their children to watch out for that? I'm certain it's very few and once that child gets older and realizes that what happened to them was wrong they probably don't know how to communicate what happened to anyone else because they're still trying to come to grips with it themselves. It's really not until they become adults that they begin to realize how wrong it was and that the person who did it should be punished for it but by that time it could be too late and they could be weary of the reaction they would get for finally disclosing such information. I know personally when I heard about it from one of my family members I started crying because I couldn't believe that something like that happened to her and I didn't know what to do about it myself so I'm sure she was conflicted. Do you tell your parents after so much time has passed and there's really nothing that can be done about it and you're not even sure if they'll believe you especially if it's someone they were close to or do you keep it hidden and learn to live with it?
