The answer is neither. The essence of what is morally good is part of God directly. When Jesus became sin Almighty God could not look upon Him.
If it is wrong to torture babies for fun and that applies to all people at a given time then it is objectively wrong. Can't have objective morals without an objective moral law giver.
Did god inspire those passages out of the goodness of his heart?
Before his omniscient mind, changed his mind?
so why have an opinion?

Good can exist without evil. Evil can't exist without good. You can have light without shadows but you can't have a shadow without light.
Free will is the only way to guarantee that a person will truly give their heart. People have chosen every single day. Some believe believe while others mock. Nice thing about that is if true then you have just proven Christianity true.
In context it is referring to all the false denominations that return to their mother. Haven't you seen over the last few years how Francis has tried to join the Pentecostal, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Anglican, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Protestant and even now Islam?

Free will. You obviously already have an opinion. No one can change that but you. No one can force you to become a Christian.
