Ok so i've just seen this article on Lakersnation saying that NBA athletes have been linked to the Biogenesis scandal which has hit MLB.
My question is why shouldn't athletes be able to use Performance enhancing drugs.
1) These athletes livelihood is based upon there bodies staying together so why shouldn't they be able to take something such as HGH that allows them to train harder and heal quicker from injuries?
2) The idea that Kirk Heinrich is suddenly going to become some freak athlete is ridiculous. The top level players in the league mechanically are just superior to other athletes. Regardless of what an athlete takes athletes like Lebron, Dwight or Kobe will always have mechanical advantages.
Does the league need to look into a more open adoption of certain PED's with more transparent guidelines but stricter monitoring and would this help or hinder sports?
