if we accepted PEDs in sports, doesnt that mean these athletes would start using at younger ages? do we really want 18 year olds on PEDs? :manny:

Where do you live? Where I grew up, half the football players were on steroids.
OK, and what is your point? It would obviously become much more widespread between various sports if PEDs were allowed. These kids would HAVE to start using to keep up.

My point is that most kids who are good enough to move on to the next level are already on something.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Off topic, let's discuss nikkas using apostrophes where they're not needed. :dahell::why:

On topic, don't really like PEDs in my sports. (But I know they're there :to:) If at all, they need to be regulated. I don't want to see my favorite sports become science experiments. :yeshrug:If I wanted to watch science I'd watch Bill Nye. :mjpls:

OK, but thats not really my point.

Do we now want the kids, who probably have no shot at a career in pro sports, and who arent on THAT level taking PEDs at a young age to try and make it?

Please people stop saying that HGH is a steroid :mindblown: HGH is not a steroid

I seriously don't see the issue with althletes using HGH. Its frustrating to know that pro sports is against HGH. Why wouldn't teams want a strong and healthy workforce?

If Tom Brady,Peyton, Adrian Peterson, LeBron, Melkly Cabrerra etc (The faces of franchices) somehow get injured, why wouldn't you as an organization or as a league want those players to be back on the field/court quickly to continue performing at a high competitive level.

HGH isn't even illegal, its simply banned by professional sports. HGH is perscribed to millions of Americans daily (men, women, children, underdeveloped babies, cancer patients etc)

There are so many medical/performance benefits of HGH. I'm willing to be that in 10-15 yrs HGH will be legal for use in pro sports.

Lionel Messi used HGH growing up as a kid, he had legit reasons but now he is a quick as a jackrabbit. Probably grew an extra batch of fast twitch muscle fibers in his legs because of it. I'm sure many white people with access to dollars are going to start cycling HGH to help their kids gain an advantage from an aeasthic standpoint and for athletic, height and size gains. What is the chance that a family like the Plumlees have sons that are 7 footers and have hops. Do you know the chance of that happening? Its probably one in a billion. This is a slippery slope my friend. There a lot of ethical issues with allowing an athlete to add extra HGH that is already produced in the body. I think it should be banned at all levels of sports.

This is my ONLY issue with PEDs. I don't want kids to feel the pressure to have to use them in order to make it to the pros. Other than that, I'm fine with it, especially if it's just to help with injuries and recovery time. HGH should be legal. Anybody can walk into a wellness clinic, especially down here, and get HGH legally. Professional sports ask for way too much physical sacrifice from players to deny them the ability to be healthier and avoid injuries.

And let's keep it real. Kobe probably got something illegal in Germany to help him recover from his knee injury. And I have no problem with that.

We need our own separate league for all of this steroids stuff. Superhuman men who play at the highest capacity that our bodies can illegally allow. Steroids that give us NBA Jam leaps. We need man vs cheetah rugby. We need basketball with land mines in the lane. NFL Blitz come to life. We'd buy that for a dollar.

I agree to this to a certain extent but that is the mortality of being an athlete...these people are not Gods. A lot athletes don't do the right things outside PEDs to stay on top of their game.

- Stop drinking and smoking and partying all night.
- Getting 8-10 of sleep a day. If they only get 5-6 after a game. They still can take afternoon naps after morning practice to recover. Sleep can keep hormones at the level that they are supposed to be at.
- Proper training and diet helps as well. Heavy squats and other oly workouts triggers the body to boost testosterone and HGH levels naturally but a lot athletes don't want to put in the work.

If you are not willing to do these things...how can I consider an athlete a professional?
