French dude got what he deserved talking about "she didn't complain". :hmm: That alone is pretty much a death sentence anyway you look at it.

It reminds me of a thread on :hamster: when we were talking about what would you do in that situation. I said the same thing I'll say now: don't bother to confront the dude. Just leave the bytch and let her get on with it. Pack all her shyt and leave it on the front door and as much as the law is so anti male get a divorce and try to get custody of your kid. That bytch could have turned him in at any time and while he's rotting away in a cell for the rest of his life she's free to do whatever the fukk she wants.

But of course the feminist movie wouldn't end like that because they had to deflect off her wickedness in some way. :hmm:

I don't remember him turning himself in to the police at the end

I remember him going to some play for their child :manny:

Either way, French dude was dumb for inviting him in, the wife deserved that death...

That hallway scene when French dude took her cheeks. She was looking real :takedat:

There was a lot going on in that scene that I thought was real telling... The fact that son didn't even bother to bring her inside the crib showed how he felt about her. You just a jumpy, I ain't even gonna bring you in my spot, I'ma just knock you down here in the hallway.

He should've killed his bytch wife though :yeshrug:

I think he said that when she finally confronted him; "I didn't want to kill him, I wanted to kill YOU"

I don't remember him turning himself in at tha end?

It was up in the air, but him, his wife and son were in the car and the last scene was Richard Gere and Diane Lane talking about going away and creating new identities and basically imagining a better life while the car is in front of a police station. It's pretty much implied that he was about to turn himself in.

This movie was so fukking stupid tho.

"how can we justify Richard Gere forgiving Diane's cheating when he's been the perfect husband and father. I know! Let's make him a murderer! That way, even tho Diane did cheat at least she didn't kill anybody so Richard has no reason to be that angry! :troll: "

It wasn't really about justifying her cheating, I think you misunderstood that. I saw this in theaters in 2002, and have always loved this movie. Adrian Lynne is a great director, he did this and 'Fatal Attraction', gorgeously shot domestic thrillers/dramas. You aren't supposed to really take sides, just sit back and watch, they were all right/wrong for a lot of shyt.

Gere wasn't a bad husband, but Diane Lane had this side to her, and the affair allowed her the excitement and thrill she wanted, but it showed the guilt and the despair of her actions too. Just off watching this movie, I would never cheat in a relationship, that one scene was so bleak, when she was late to pick up her daughter, still smelling like sex, or when she was on the train, cleaning her self in that dingy bathroom.

Gere definitely simped put in 'Brookyln's Finest' he was eating out a prostitute, moments after a previous sexual encounter lol
