I ridiculed a white dude for calling me cuz(among some other things, not derogatory) and told him he was basically living in black face. All his friends were black. Then I thought, what if he was really with the shyt? I find it annoying but if he grew up hood, then I would be out of line for telling him not to be himself.

Did you read my op? Of course i know that which is why I was conflicted. I'm always skeptical of white folks that claim to "get it" and try to be down since I've met whites from the hood and from the burbs using hiphop/street slang.

As far as slang or ignorant speech being associated with black folks, I think its ingrained in us from slavery and perpetuated by the media. Also, I'm not sure that is always associated with black people. Just certain errors are.

I understand. You might just have to tell dude straight up and do it with a few friends around you so that he knows it's not just you. Let him know not to cross that line and if he can't show respect then don't let the door smash dude on the way out.

You know damn well what I mean. If you didn't you wouldn't be calling names. People tell me that I talk white all the time (black and white people) and I dont get irrate because I know what they mean. This dude called me cuz and assumed I was with the shyt JUST BECAUSE I AM BLACK. On top of that, most people that are from the hood don't even talk like that most of the time. I have every reason to suspect dude of tryna placate me.
