Motown baselines were always :whew: regardless of how watered down thier music was.

Stax was just raw energy

I love both. However its hard to go against a label that produced Gladys Knight, The Isleys, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Temptations, Marvin, Smokey, Stevie Wonder, Rick James, Four Tops, Lionel Richie and MJ.

They were so rich with talent that some acts just had to leave because they weren’t getting opportunities at Motown.

Both the Isley Brothers and the Spinners had to bounce.
