I feel ya man, but how many black folks are game?

No supporting white owned TV stations or radio...which means no watching tv or listening to the radio

don't support walmart
don't support any non-black business...

don't shop on black friday or that whole weekend...or shyt, don't support non-black busineses ever again.

Ofcourse that sadly won't happen cause most black americans enjoy being ignorant and stupid and want to seek validation from others from their trinkets and toys that they buy with their hard earned wealth that they give back to non-blacks...

I'd rep you if I could.

My rep game's gone south because of ignorant n*ggas.

1. It also makes sense in practice. Asians, Irish, Italians, Jews and now Latinos are starting to make the system work in favor of their special interests. Since the 20s (and even earlier), the aforementioned groups have given us a detailed blueprint on how to flip the political system. Although the system will never be not racist, it can be pimped, race be damned. Blacks can do this sh*t if we get it together in our community and start moving towards that goal.

2. I agree that the lack of black policemen is disappointing. Although there are more and more blacks joining the police forces every year. My guess as to why there aren't as many blacks in the police forces is because the system is rigged and systematically discourages us from becoming officers. I don't think it's a lack of desire necessarily. But, again, like the Irish and Italians, blacks need to gain that power, wealth, and influence to place more of our own into those positions and higher.

1. Asians, Irish, Italians, Jews, and Latinos DO NOT have the same historical bias against them Black Americans do here.
We are starting out 300 yards behind in the 100 Yard Dash. And we (should) know you can't "flip" this system...they'll give
them a few blocks where they won't fucc with them, but they can't do that with us because there are too many of us.
Plus, they know that by and large, Black folk are not gonna mix with their families like the above groups to keep that "money"
or "influence" or whatever at hand.

2. My guess is that there aren't as many black policemen is because once you are a policeman, that becomes your priority.
If you are a black policeman, you are a policeman before you are black. Alot of us ain't wit' that, and I can understand it.

Anyway, my whole thing here is, I don't see boycotting as the jumpoff.

I know you're being facetious but I'll bite:

No Apple products. No Windows products. No designer clothing (at least by whites). No Nikes (no Jordans either). No adidas. No Pumas. No Skechers. No Converses. No Jewelry. No Samsung products. No high-end liquor. No major-label CDs. No dinners at high-end, fancy restaurants. No McDonalds. No Burger King. No Wendy's.

Basically, no anything that's not made by us.
Made by us. We don't make tv so I should buy my tv from a black owned tv shso right.

Given the escalating racial tension in this country and the possibility of an unfavorable grand jury decision in Ferguson, Missouri, let's engage in a national boycott where all of us (brothers and sisters alike) refuse to purchase any luxury/holiday items on Black Friday and beyond. Let's hit dominant society in the only way that it'll feel it from our community. Plus, we can do more productive things with our limited disposable income.

My first question is who are you talking to? Us? As on this forum? Even if every member of the Coli participated, including the non blacks, it'd be comparable to feeling the wind of a mosquito as it flies by your face regarding the economic effect.

But, let's say you do decide to boycott.....do you drive? I'd advise you not to as putting gas in your car supports the oil cartels. Public transit indirectly enriches hundreds of old white men, not to mention the government. Don't go to work either, though you are being paid you are still contributing to the financial health of whites and the economy as a whole. Technically you can't really support black businesses either unless their supply chain is all black (hint: it's not). Do you, do you see where I'm going with this? You're in a system of white supremacy and no matter what you do, as long as you live on PLANET EARTH you are going to be paying into that system in some form or fashion. But see, you all know this already. You all just like making grand but vague gestures and suggestions. You can't boycott the whole economic system so you may want to be more specific.

1. I never argued that they had the same biases but I will argue that at one point in their respective histories, they were treated as second-class citizens, like we virtually are in this country. We can certainly attempt the approach that apparently worked well for them.

2. Your guess is as good as mine as to why there aren't more black cops.

3. I respectfully disagree. Unless you can provide a more feasible and tangible alternative as an idea, I really do think us black folks need to shore up our money.

1. I'm talking to everybody. But to thecoli since I did post on this site and it allows me to communicate with people from different states.

2. Obviously we can't go cold turkey yet on things like transportation and gas. BUT, we can start by peeling back from and boycotting luxury (read: unnecessary) materials and trinkets. Does that girl really need another handbag? Do you really need the newest Js? It's consumerism for things like these that hurt us. And we're the biggest consumers in the US. We need to peel back from buying those things and minimize as much as possible what we recycle into dominant society.

3. This is not a grand/vague gesture. This is an idea. This needs to happen. We need to shore up our dollars and stop being consumers of luxury items and n*gga trinkets.

But, of course, when I say all of this, I'm a "c00n" and a "cac"

Catch me in the safari zone
I get negged for pointing out an obvious solution and I get called a "c*ck" and a "cac" by @LarryLobster

And we wonder why our community will never get anywhere. When you have ignorant n*ggas like @LarryLobster , it's a sad indictment of our community. You couldn't give n*ggas like him any help.
:heh:
Anyone can check your reps and see you're a troll cac...

1. Those groups were treated as second-class citizens...which is at least "citizens". We were 3/5 of a citizen.
And it's arguable whether their approach has "worked well". But that's a topic for another day.

2. True.

3. We only disagree because you haven't given a feasible alternative. You didn't suggest where black folk could spend their money,
you just told them where not to. Look the example I gave earlier: a person needs a new refrigerator and was gonna buy one
on Black Friday from Lowe's because they'll have a good deal. Where else could they spend their dollar to help a brotha out?
