It's almost impossible in America to not buy anything from a non-Black owned business, but you can drastically cut back your spending on non-essential products while researching and supporting your local Black businesses, and saving and investing the "extra" money to build your wealth.
And here's where you lost credibility with me. Jordans are DEFINITELY items. $150/$200/$250 a pair and they're not luxury?

But these n*ggas on this thread don't want to hear this. They're too comfortable with having everything being provided by dominant society. They're too timid to take the first step towards building power, wealth, and influence.
I don't understand why y'all are undermining the premise of the thread which is: we need to shore up our dollars and invest and reinvest in ourselves.

You can certainly cut back on spending money on luxury/unnecessary items made and manufactured by dominant society. You can instead use that money to: 1. SAVE, 2. buy from black-owned businesses, or 3. start your own business (if you save and wait for enough time).
The fact that y'all have responded to me like this shows how lost our community really is. But then again, one of my detractors is the same guy who typed:

What you say sounds good but its not realistic. Black people don't own shyt. Shore up what dollars? I know mad nikkas with no job. I don't know one who makes 6 figures. And yes I like to come home to my wife and kids every night and hold my nuts while watching a game and clutching a brew. Whats wrong with that?
Do you think Jews originally owned sh*t? What about the Asian immigrants who came here decades agao and now run multiple businesses in our community? How about the Irish and Italian immigrants? We all have to start somewhere.
Even though lots of us are unemployed, there are plenty of upwardly mobile black people as there are more black millionaires than ever before and there are more black-owned businesses. We as a community and the biggest consumers in this country have money. We just spend on foolish sh*t or spend to get drunk, high, nice, etc. People don't need 6 figures to start building something.
It's too easy to dismiss doing the right thing because it's "not realistic" and because "black people don't own shyt". That sounds like defeatist mentality to me. Keep away from me with that.

Jews cake here caked up already. Asians come here and can start businesses tax free. Italians and Irish didn't have a system set up against them. We been here longer than all the groups you named. We can start building with that loan from the white owned bank tho right? Its idealistic. Your better off just moving to another country
