So the NYC hype machine had nothing to do with LINSANITY :wtf: The hype had y'all questioning whether Melo could adjust to Lin and if you all should toss him in the bushes and run the p-n-r with Lin and Stoudemire.

That was Bristol. The ESPN Hype Machine

I use this analogy to put perspective on Big Market v. Small Market players/teams/media coverage etc.

If the Spurs played in New York, they'd have 7th and 8th avenues renamed after Pop and Duncan.

But since they play in San Antonio, they don't get a shred of the praise they deserve and they're labeled "boring" by the general public. If they played in New York, they'd be basketball gods and labeled "tough" by those same morons.

Nothing to say about Posada anymore? :lupe:

And you grouping the largest city in the country under one statement. No not everybody was hyping Lin like that. ESPN was hyping him more than anything. NYers was just trying to see our team back in the postseason. Lin was playing well and we were just concerned fans. Not our fault everybody was interested in our affairs. :smugdraper:

Jorge Posada is so average but those pinstripes have a hold of people :snoop:
bu..bu...but he won silver sluggers :aicmon:

Im a Mets fan and i fukking despise anything to do with the yankees but posada was way better than average. he will prolly go down a top 15 hitting catcher all time possibly top 10
