I'm quite interested to see, with all the talk of Iggy Izalea or whatever her name is on here, in multiple threads, how many replies this gets. Especially with the Black Panther party thread currently. Seems a lot of people wanna jump on a bandwagon of hate (not saying it's a good or bad thing as I know nothing about her) but do you actually support the dope pro black music? Or do you diss it or ignore it? If you do then how can you complain? Isn't that hypocritical. This should get much more replies than the Iggy thread but I bet it won't...

Great album, a hip hop and Black music classic..so glad it came out when it did, because it would never get green lit for release in the past decade..

Love all there albums. I think there was message was a bit harsh at times but they said shyt that needed to be said. I think it held them back in the way cuz they were pretty talented lyrically

I wouldn't disagree with this necessarily, though I mostly agree with them. Maybe at times would get a little excessive but they said a lot of real shyt. It's a shame in a way they dropped their level a little because they had big potential to make a big dent. Was a time when they were pretty big in the streets, even Jay Z did a track with them.

Yeah, mad people I know fukked with this album heavy. It's the kind of shyt we liked, was powerful/militant/intelligent/conscious, exhibited skill too. Album bangs.

It had beats as well..apart from the strong pulling-no-punches message, I think some people were attracted to the production. Some were tired of the bullshyt..we need a 2015 Lets Get Free..

True, it was hard. Were good songs, it was a good mix between N.Y and the South in a sense, even maybe some Midwest mixed in. It had some diversity while being a message in the same vein, but different flows and concepts and shyt. Yeah I would definitely welcome a Let's Get Free part 2.

Good album. I don't give it the spins it deserves.

I copped it the same day as Pharoahe Monch's 'Internal Affairs' (which is out of print but I've still got on CD. If any Coli members have the bread I'm open to offers :youngsabo:)
