Popularity wise he could've been just behind Wayne. He could've live in Wayne's slipstream creatively and thrived commercially.

Juelz was arguably bigger than Wayne at one point. He didn't match Wayne's ethic let alone ability from like 06/07 and the rest was history.

juelz def. had the potential and charisma to be a much bigger star than he was. no he wasnt the best rapper but the music was so good and had a different energy than anything coming out. these guys really had a movement behind them. i think wayne felt this and was undeniably influenced by it. look at the production credits of juelz second album and then look at the carter 2's. wayne clearly worked in close quarters w/ juelz camp. people were beginning to see him in a new light. u could speculate juelz/dipset influence had to do w/ that.

How u gone say juelz wasn't bigger than wayne during dipsets run?

Wayne was makin' little to no noise between 2001-2004/5

The only ones from cash money makin' hit singles n bein featured on everybodys shyt was the big tymers

Dipset was a movement.... they was on singles with bone crusher lil jon the game... So u know the south n the west coast was rockin with them...

I ain't tryina hate on wayne he was the next big thing after 50 cent
west coast never rocked with dipset. they were never big over here and they were never bigger than Wayne. some nikkas liked cam but the only time juelz got play was the "whistle song. " you say wayne fell off but the nikka only put out 2 albums between 02-04. "way of life" used to be on bet all day and 04 he had "go dj" and the destiny child's feature. you can argue that cam was hotter at one point, but juelz and dipset as a whole were never bigger than wayne.

Exactly, people keep saying Juelz was on fire at that time. But what solo Juelz songs were bumping in the streets like that? Where is Juelz Fireman,Stunting like my daddy, Hustler musik, Soilder remix joints? What is his Dedication 2? Only thing I remember from that time is his Chris Brown Run It feature.

Im telling ya, nikkas were just gassed off his swag. He had the look but he aint have the talent. All the best songs in the dipset era were from Cam and Jimmy.

Juelz was one of those "great in doses" rapper who has a sort of mythology around him because we never got to get the full experience

The funny part is. Juelz had just as many mixtapes as Wayne at the time. The Back Like Cooked Crack Series. Vol 1-3.

Its just In comparison to Wayne's Dedication and Drought series. NONE OF THEM shytS WERE GOOD.

On a talent level, Juelz could never compete with Wayne. I just find it funny how people rewriting history like he was the golden child at the time :mjlol:

I didn't know a person who didn't love Juelz circa 2003. I can remember participating in a fire-drill one day in 7th grade, the entire school had to go outside and do that gay ass 5 minute wait. But what I remember the most is seeing like 6 dudes wearing Juelz's american flag outfit with the bandanna and all. I always think back to that moment when I think about Juelz today to remind myself of his popularity. That dudes whole aura was like a superhero to us kids. We wanted to be him.

As far as music potential goes, I prefer From Me To U over anything Wayne ever released.

Juelz was bigger than wayne at one point...

Wayne didnt start buzzin' again till like 05 n dipset was much bigger than what seemed like a dyin' label in cash money...

nikkaz hate on Baby, but he carried that label alone with mannie fresh for like 4-5 years before wayne became a superstar...

But if u asked me back then I'd say yeah, cuz Juelz had a bigger name at the time n wayne joinin him seemed more like move that would benefit wayne than juelz....

U ask me now; I can only speculate dunno what went wrong for juelz but it seems like that nikka lacked any drive to become raps next big thing...

Also remember wayne alignin with the dips helped him gain respect as an emcee on the east coast, n becomin' a blood then sure helped him gain street cred across the whole country....

think about it :francis:

Baby didnt carry anything. Cash Money has always had a big machine behind them - Universal, that's all it was.

:what: :dahell: :camby: NEVER was Juelz bigger than Wayne, unless you want to count his buzz in 03 for his Diplomats work.

I think Juelz had the look, lyrics, an uncanny delivery where I wanted to replay his verse. It was very distinguishable. The biggest thing to me that separates him from Wayne and most rappers who were in a similar position is his work ethic. His next tape was always "coming soon". Didn't Cam used to lock him in the tour bus and only let him out when he finishes writing and all types of wild shyt. I used to be a big fan when I was younger too smh. Some peeps still waitin on God Will'N 2 to this day. :dead:.

Facts.

Juelz was suppose to capitalize off the "Oh Boy"/"Hey Ma" success, used the dipset name and had the run Jim Jones had..

No. I remember when juelz cd drop and it was hot no lie but Wayne started to show what people started to say was not only lyrical but song improvement. Juelz became stagnant but wayne just continued to drop hotter and hotter verses and great features juelz was lazy. Even when they started working together juelz was more like Luigi, Robin, Joe Biden.
