i was getting really cool with the replacement temp they had for him only for us to have a going away party for the temp and actually meeting the og dude. i was confused af myself cause i didnt know there was an og dude. he initially got 3 months and then it got extended for some reason (he also in the reserves too so perhaps, not sure if kid got sick or reserves business). been at my job almost a year and just met dude last month

i blame separation of black families more on the vietnam war than black women who needed to feed their kids at the time. many black women ended up being used pawns just like black men being used for the war that took them from home and put them on the front line of atrocities and sent them back home damaged right before the opioid (big in vietnam)/crack crises. its sad but many of our forefathers/mothers lacked knowledge after jim crow to realize what was going on + fight against it and the black community is still recovering from all that.
