Part of the problem is the fact that pretty much every match has to end with a finisher as well now. I actually loved that during the 80s NWA had a bunch of matches end on random shyt like a small package or a bridge suplex. Then it adds drama to the fact that a match can truly end at any point so then you can milk regular moves for drama on two counts. But now since fans have been conditioned to know that matches won't end unless it's a finisher they're stuck having to milk drama by having multiple finishers in a match.

If the AA finished people off in one try at WM people would be bytching about that though. Rightfully, because it's a firemans carry, but still

I agree with this.

Dalyxman had a 20 minute long video about this shyt like 2 months ago and I agreed then :russ:

Need to have some signatures win matches every now and then. I remember seeing The Rock win matches with a DDT back in 2000/01

This is were japan is clearly ahead of wwe and the like
False finishes are rare and instead moves are countered and reversed and wrestlees become wiser when facing an oppnent they faced before or for big matches. We are conditioned to see the same move over and over counting atleas r 2 finishers before the real ending

Bryan is a good ring worker but his spamming of suicide dives back tk back like a drake diss was just as bad too to me

Maybe I'm the only weird one, but I don't actually hate it. Everybody have to admit they just hate change. I try to evolve with stuff and not just refuse something cause it's different.

Finishers early in matches now seem like ways to wrap it up early, or catch your opponent slippin. And ate the end, especially when sold well (like Brock did last night), look like the guy is running out of options and can't think of anything else to do.

Sometimes we forget you gotta entertain the common fan too

Finisher kick outs should be reserved for special occasions. Like WrestleMania or SUmmerSlam type occasions. Rock kicking out of the Stunnder at WM15 was huge because NOBODY kicked out of it before that. Not even Bret Hart, HBK, or Undertaker. Now everybody kicks out of finishers every other Raw.

if it's a regular tv match u should be able to get a win with a signature if it looks cool enough. if its a main event on tv or a lower card ppv match then it should have one finisher, maybe a spot where the opponent has his foot on the rope or rolls out of the ring. finisher spamming should be saved for big 4 events and only in title/marquee matches.

if someone has a submission finisher it might be able to work because they're wearing the person down. didn't flair used to do that w/ the figure 4?
This is why I appreciated Sheamus rolling out of the ring after the RKO last night. If you don't want a match to end with a finisher then fukking be inventive and integrate smart psychology or strategy into it.

HitGoat used to win big matches with a rollup pin and random shyt like that
Yeah, Bret was always really creative with finishes. Hell, it's actually pretty rare that he won with the Sharpshooter - he was the master of those flash pinfall finishes.
