But that doesn't mean he should be kicking out of three finishers in a row either.
Exactly, if Lesnar cant get an easy fight against a much older, slower Undertaker. He shouldnt be just dusting off Sheamus signatures/finishers.

Certain guys on the roster just shouldnt have the same suplex city/no sold finishers deal. Imo

Lesnar is grey gloved 1990-1994 undertaker right now basically

I've always found teasing the finisher multiple times over the course of the match to be way more effective. It makes the finisher have a much larger impact once it finally lands.
As if the same thing doesnt happen on PPVs. Because its a house show Sheamus should look like a push over?
Yes? House shows are about sending the crowd home happy, they're not supposed to make sense.

In Japan, it makes more sense cause theyre all about fighting spirit and shyt like that

it's a different kind of wrestling too
Yeah, and a lot New Japan matches center around familiarity between wrestlers and unique counters. They feature tons of callbacks and subversions of past encounters.

If it's Raw/Smackdown then a finisher should almost ALWAYS finish the match. They should put more into reversals/counters than into 2.8 second kickouts.

Give us the odd kick out at PPV, but not as many as today... first round of finishers and you don't even expect the ref to get the three count anymore. "Nah, he's gonna need to hit him with at least another Tombstone and a couple of chokeslams yet..."

RKO out of nowhere is actually the rare exception.

I think it was JR (?) or maybe Wade Keller... idk some dude on a podcast...

But he talked about how the titles had built in value/prestige ("equity") from being defended kayfabe for so many years, but after a while if you abuse that prestige and don't respect it... it loses it's meaning.

Which we all saw the titles lose their meaning and prestige.

Now modern day wrassling companies are doing the same thing to the wrestling finisher... the finishing move has prestige and value from so many great workers establishing the concept of a finishing move, but little by little that shyt is gonna erode and it's not gonna mean anything even to a typical mark kid.

Same way everyone on TSC got sick of suicide dives and they're meaningless now.
