They should have stated this ahead of time. I mean who the fukk knows why anyone votes for anything. Did you think trump was gonna brings jobs or did you vote for him cause he’s a white man? Was Obama a great candidate or did you vote for him cause he was black? Or some of both?Doesn't sound like they were disqualified, but that they tossed out all the "ballots".
There was a spat in the comments of that instagram post on the reason why they shut it down. Their argument was this was our fault for making our selection based on race rather than their work/project.

My point is, we should have never been so in their face. “Hey let’s vote for these girls cause they are black”
We should have said “hey let’s vote for them cause they have a great idea” then wink wink hush hush, cause we really know it’s cause they black

Yeah would have been great if we could have been more discreet with it. But it really wasn’t necessary. This was an internet poll. Nothing more than a popularly contest, including your “you can vote every day” click bait tactic. They (should have) knew what it was, but when they started losing at their own game, they wanna take the ball and go home.

So apparently some ***** CACs browsing this or another site got so upset that our people were rallying around these girls they decided to hack the ballots.
NASA shut it down.
The girls are still finalists but their projects have to be analyzed.

I feel awful though,got these girls hopes up,got them attacked by racist more than likely
We have to take the L here for once again underestimating cacs.But hopefully we learned a lesson here.we should have played it smartet and hopefully will next time.Good intentions though and hopefully the girls felt the love,and learned a valuable lesson that NASA cant teach
