Just to think about it.....No Limit was wack as f*ck when it came out but now it's almost good compared to all that bullshyt they called rap nowadays cause No Limit actually better than nowadays rap.
No Limit was the slow dude that had kids by his 1st cousin, and rap today is the result of those children procreating with each other and then their children doing the same

i dunno. As a 90s baby I was a big no limit fan from the It Aint My Fault / Make em Say Ugh era all the way til the Wobble Wobble / Bout Dat era :yeshrug:

There is a lot of filler in the catalogue...but I dont listen to it. The albums and singles that are good are extremely good. Ghetto D is probably my favourite southern album or at worst in the top 5. Tru 2 da Game is a top 5 double disc. Solid albums from Mystikal / Silkk / C-Murder and I've seen ppl mention Mac's Shell Shocked as a classic.

Not sure about the B and C team...but there is a lot of heat and classic material in their catalogue.

I can agree with this. I remember back in the late 90's all my friends were coppin no limit albums weekly, and I NEVER fukked with that shyt. matter of fact, back then, the ONLY southern group I fukked with heavy was outkast. I always thought all that no limit shyt was :trash: but they would constantly play it. I never really got the appeal to this day. hell, I wasn't even a big fan of mystikal, even tho he sounded different from the rest of those bums and had neptunes production.

I aint gonna lie I kind of agree with the thread starter but I must admit I hated Master P and most of No Limit with every fiber of my being back in the day. They did have a few nice artist (Mac was so fukking underrated it was crazy and I always cut for C-Murder and Mystikal) but the majority of them nikkas were trash. P was the absolute worst and always bit the fukk out of Pac nonstop acting like he knew him. Straight jackin his lines left and right and song titles. It was disgusting. He will always be the biggest biter in history IMO. I respect his business mind and the way he made so much money but that was about it. Thats why I loved when CMR came through and crushed those nikkas and they were making bootleg Cash Money rip off songs trying to stay relevant (Ice On My Wrist, Sillk's Hot Boyz movie with soundtrack. I think they even had a bootleg song for HB's-I Need A Hotgirl and a bunch of other shyt I know I'm forgetting). Don't get me wrong I did like a few songs but as a whole they were mostly trash. The replay value of the music is just about garbage. Skull Duggery, Mercedes, Ghetto Commission, SOns of Funk, Gambino Family, Mob E. dikk :mjlol:, Lil Soldiers, Big Ed, Prime Suspects, Magic, 504 Boyz were all garbage.

Anybody remember that group called the Wild Boyz that were dissing CMR at the time? Sporty T ended up dying behind this shyt..:mjpls:

All three Miller boys have a classic on their own. Not no Southern Classic shyt to put a asterisk by it but bonafide classics.
Master P - Ice Cream Man
Silkk the Shocker - Da Shocker
C-Murder - Life or Death

Their problem is, like a lot of other classics released at anytime, they are definitively stuck in the time and era that it was released whereas other things can live on forever. We could let Thriller the album ride, all nine songs like it released yesterday. Not comparing albums but some things are just timeless and others, like the No Limit albums, are prisoners of the time. It's very dated music. Making songs like What's Your Alias where they proudly make weird sounds on the track like that was cool. Cringe worthy stuff. They had a great run though.
