shyt was TRASH! Me and @observe used to gaffle damn near everyday (steal/shoplift) and break our driver off with clothes and cd's. One day after pulling out one of those No Limit cd covers that showed all the horrible albums that p was gonna drop or had dropped, he asked us to gaffle the WHOLE no limit catalog :snoop:

Every tuesday we were gafflin new no limit albums and bumpin em as we went from mall to mall. A part of my soul died a little in that car :mjcry:

No Limit was fast food rap. Fast food tastes good, it's fun when you're young, it's got colorful packaging, but at the end of the day, even if you look back on it with some fond memories, it doesn't leave you very satisfied, it all tasted the same, and wasn't very good.

You still gotta appreciate it for what it is. I think it's silly to compare No Limit to anything, honestly. It was what it was. It was just some shyt to play in the background at a party or kicking it with your friends
.

If you sat down trying to dissect a Mystikal or Silk album like :ohhh: then you missed the point IMO. I see no point trying to compare No Limit to other crews like Wu-Tang, Boot Camp Clik, Dungeon Family, Diplomats, Native Tongues, State Property, G-Unit, or even Ruff Ryders to be honest.

Early era Cash Money is the best comparison to No Limit.

:leon: I liked how you put it that shyt out right there.....that was good right there.

It played a big part in the "hood = good" mentality which kinda sucks

There was some heat no doubt, but it was mostly some zeitgeist shyt

Yeah, outside of Mac, Mia X, and a few others, it was shyt. They capitalized the death of Tupac something serious, though.

Cats got caught up in thinking that just cause you caught bodies or sold dope, makes you a good rapper.
