This nikka said the beats was trash? Revisionist history? nikka your insane. Few things where bigger than no limit... And I mean a few.

Those plastic colored cd cases.

Beats by the Pound was dope.

Mia X was definitely one of the best female rapper to date

TRU made a classic.

Charge it to the game.

Fiend mystikal Mac c murder.

I got the hook up. And the Last Don.

Those tank songs every cd.

Your a hater.

Yep they had some ridiculous posse cuts. The one that sets of Charge it to the Game...damn.

Mystikal's Ghetto Fabulous album was maybe the most polished albums as far content...Mystikal wasn't on the over the top godfather shyt like P and Silk. Still Smokin is a great story telling song.

And their were 2 tank cuts toward the end of the album that were absolute fire. Particularly the one with Mac.

Ida know I thought Unpredictable was waaaaaay better than Ghetto Fabulous...Mystikal himself said that Unpredictable was his finest work, and Ghetto Fabulous was more like an adlib-porn album...I really liked the title track with Snoop & Uncle Charlie and That's That Rapper tho

P was a hard hustler. And they def. had some classics, and a few iconic records. It''s hard to deny "Bout It Bout It" or "No Limit Soldiers" or "Down 4 My nikkaz"

But it's also easy to see why they fell off so fast. A LOT of that shyt was plain weak, and I'd be damned to even try revisiting a Silkk, C-Murder, or Serv-On album... and those B and C team dudes, absolutely not. And once the quantity got bigger than the quality, it was only a matter of time.

I remember No Limit more fondly for the standout records they had... those are undeniable, and I'm sure if you sift thru allllllll that other shyt, there's other good music in there. But overall, it's an era that predates everything nikkas have hated on about rap post-2000.

:mjlol: Silkk The Shocker is easily one of the WOATs

No Limit was like watching parody music vids. None of them could rap and the beats were a joke.

We used to fall out laughing when that shyt came on Rap City.

P's hustle is one of the GOATs though.

Naw I missed that album. But like in the summer of 98 is when Fiend started coming with it. He had a few standout moments on Ghetto D but it was hard to understand him. On Shell Shocked and Snoop's Da Game Is To Be Sold Not Told he stepped his game up.

Man....I was going to college in the south when P's post Bay Area No Limit shyt hit. That shyt was like the plague, on some walkin dead shyt. No escaping the music. The shyt was insane, probably the weirdest, most ignant, fun rap runs I ever got to experience from about 95-97. You had nikkaz from every part of the country going to school on scholarship sippin that crack kool aid weather they fukked with the music or not, at least 1 of your potnas did:russ:

Cats was already on that TRU album with the 1st Bout It. By the time I got down south nikkaz was already bumpin it and talkin about that cut. Was smashin some Tennessee bird up in the dorm with the Jodeci knockin, my roomate's tape cuts off and this shyt comes on blastin through the speaker Intro and all:aicmon:

The album where muthafukkaz completely LOST IT was the Ice Cream Man, gotdamn......Single was all over on rap city and the 2nd Bout It was getting play EVERYWHERE on campus, dorms, hit up the Q and Delta parties, nikkaz fighting because somebody's city wasn't mentioned up in the song. And yeah, yo city wasn't shyt if it didn't get no pub on this cut, all that fool did on the remix was shout damn near every city in the muthafukkin country, ingenious:heh:nikkaz bouncin n scrappin at the step shows n shyt getting stomped out :mjlol:. Hoes with 1 gold gold tooth yellin "nikka you want some saaaausage!!!!!" Go outside campus, 45 minute drive to the strip club, the shyt was knockin down walls. Hole in the wall clubs of in the jects, there was No Limit.....Couldn't escape it. Playin away games in other states, marching band playin the Ice Cream Man:ohhh:The music grew on you, hoes fukked with it too because of muthafukkin Mia X.

We still in 96'.....P comes back the next year n drops the I'm Bout It MOVIE:wtf: Soundtrack, West Coast Bad Boys 2, Mystikal drops Unpredictable, and P drops Ghetto D all in 97. Me, my homeboi and his jump off in the whip on the way to the abortion clinic WHILE this shyt was playin with no fukks given:yeshrug:

That's the end of my No Limit fix, I OD'd end of 97......Those was the end of my No Limit purchases, I was:dead:Didn't make it past 97

Man this shyt right here gets play till this day.....When this shyt dropped, once again nikkaz lost it :ooh::deadmanny:, them sound effects:mjcry:Check out Silkk's verse if that's you wanna call it, that shyt was/still HILARIOUS, makes the song even that much more outta control, don't ask me how either.

Silk..."I'mputtinonmycamoflaugeniiiiigggga!!!!!!!":laff:

As a label...they had one of the greatest discographies in rap history. Either top 5, or just outside the top 5.

Hypnotize Minds/Prophet Ent
Rap-A-Lot
Cash Money
Ruthless
&
Black Book Intl

Are the only labels i have clearly ahead of them. I actually can see an argument for top 3 all-time:patrice:
