I remember in 2003, The Game had the first mixtape "You Know What It Is Vol: 1" before he blew up on The Documentary. He raps o ver Down For M N beat.

he just remade "heaven for a gangsta" with master p & dj premiere like a year or so ago.

No Limits songs were nothing but guilty pleasure track for nikkas in 90s same applies to Cash Money, if you bumped no limit to recieve lyrical content then you need to your brain examined :stopitslime:

When "Hoody Hooo" used to play at parties in 99 :whew:

But yeah on a lyrical aspect they were horrendous

Man....I was going to college in the south when P's post Bay Area No Limit shyt hit. That shyt was like the plague, on some walkin dead shyt. No escaping the music. The shyt was insane, probably the weirdest, most ignant, fun rap runs I ever got to experience from about 95-97. You had nikkaz from every part of the country going to school on scholarship sippin that crack kool aid weather they fukked with the music or not, at least 1 of your potnas did:russ:

Yupp had a Homeboy in Freshman Year that had a cool collection of NL CDs(this was around 98 when they were in their Mainstream Prime just putting out Albums) MP Da Last Don,Da Game Is To Be Sold and Life Or Death was the ones I would "borrow"(:shaq:)

Sick of these nikkas with their revisionist history about No Limit making good music..all their beats were trash,,most of the rappers were garbage,,the only good rappers were feind and mystical..mr serv on was aight..but besides that..they have 3/100 albums that were actually good..
Bruh get outta here...

lol @ no limit not having lyricists.

why do people insist on talking big chit about labels they know they know nothing about. dudes just be knowing the singles and chit.

thats basically where the line is drawn in this thread. people that are up on no limit versus people that dont REALLY know about the tank.

That's what i'm talking about , from a single aspect it was just mad guilty pleasure track for nikkas to vibe to in club , I already know nikkas like Mac , Young Bleed, C Murder & Mia X was spittin heat , but im talkin for the majority part and what the mainstream was exposed to at the time

youre not talking the majority. the mainstream stuff was the minority.

and the stuff youre talking about was not guilty pleasure status. guilty pleasures are groups like say D4L.
