the only bad thing I can see from lovies standpoint is his love for mccown which is dumb. but lovies never been a good offense coach. his teams were built on defense.
I could care less what a record is in football especially when you consider who the wins and losses come against. Thats like two seasons ago when everyone was on the Pats saying how great they were despite the changes made yet other than one win over Cam and Baltimore (at home), not a single team they had beaten were over .500 at the time they played, NOR at the end of the season. Records mean little to me. 10-6 is a Wild card record. They werent good enough to be a Wild card that season either. Lovie was just never a good Head coach. He was a glorified coordinator. Happens all the time, it just usually happens with someone who has energy and a polarizing personality. Lovie has neither. Jay Cutler saved his job from being lost but truthfully, Lovie shouldnt have been the coach long enough to make it to the Cutler trade. You luck your way to the SB then dont even make the playoffs the next 4yrs and I'll say "Its a miracle he kept his job" with a straight face. We say the same thing about Tom Coughlin year after year. The only difference was Coughlin would secure Superbowls often enough to keep his. Lovie did not. This is my opinion, you disagree obviously.10-6(FIRED)

Despite the points they put up, I take into consideration who they played like I do all teams. Example being the Packers raping the Bears this weekend. I put little stock in their victory because of the condition the bears are in right now. Perhaps lucked was too strong a word for the SB Bears but I apply the same premise. The Cutler's Bears that went to the NFC Champ game, I feel was more of a luck job due to the competition faced to get there so I'll concede that was a bit harsher than required of the SB Bears. My responses have been about Lovie, not so much the Bears themselves because, as I said, they have had talent to compete. when you look at what pettine, arians, caldwell, and reid have done turning around franchises quickly, there should be no defending lovie. he is awful
