Yes, they would have cheered Austin and Rock when they were heels like what happened, but once they got that face push best believe they getting boos or crickets.

Imagine classic matches being like HHH/Foley at Rumble 00 being ruined by smark chants like "z-pack" when medics would come out or any hardcore match with medics involved. Just like they ruined that shyt last night at the nxt main event

Smarks trying to be a character on the show instead of going along for the ride :scust:

Not really ecw thrived on strictly smark crowds in the 90s

ROH crowds made many classic matches that much more special

If the product is good the smart fan is gonna be happy and not shyt all over a match

HHH - foley match was prolly filled with smart marks being at msg it was just an awesome match there was nothing to shyt on

Classic example would be royal rumble 2003 Scott sterner and Hunter had one of the worst matches ever the crowd completely shyt all over it and the entire ppv could of been ruined

Right after Kurt angle and Benoit won the crowd back with a classic match and the fans gave it a standing ovation

Rock, Austin, and the nwo is where the smark crowds came from. When fans cheered the nwo over the entire roster until Sting came out...when Austin was turning the tide against Bret and they would cheer him over Shawn Michaels at King of the Ring 97...when Rock got a standing ovation for a elbow drop in Madison Square Garden after demeaning and shytting on Chyna the Raw before and trying to murder Cripple H the week before that with the ladder attack. This is HOW we got here....that's the Attitude came from. Everything pre 97 was safer and that gay ass New Generation shyt they had Bret and Michaels leading that led to empty arenas and quiet crowds that no one gives two fukks about in this day and age looking back.

CM Punk in 2011 was just doing what Rock was doing in 99 except the Rock wasn't whining about the behind the scenes stuff and was demanding fans chant his name. Actually come to think of it..Punk was more like Cripple H in that 1999 sit down interview before Summerslam when he was bytching and whining about being held down and taking the blame and finding every excuse in the book why he couldn't get to the Rock/Austin level.

WTF you supposed to be..you know what we know. You on here crying about Rocky, Bryan, and anything not Shawn Michaels promoted. You think you know better? Enlighten me, little man. You would be the first one in TSC in 10 years to do so.

Must have been dreaming when I was at the show here at Cobo the night before Montreal when drunk cacs chanted you sold out at Bret
