the truth is the barrier of entry to podcasts is low which has lead to anyone and everyone trying to start oneFor me a podcast has to be informative or entertaining.
there are a few good informative podcast I listen to, less than that I find entertaining.
A good podcast really boils down to production quality and how good the host is.
