For all I know PND or the Weeknd wrote that shyt /shrug

No one is denying that the pop diva occasionally recites some nice bars that were dictated to him by dope writers

Sure, Weeknd and PnD - who are pop and RnB artists - could have written that RAP verse for Drake..

Do you haters even look for rationality and consistency in your reaching statements anymore or has Drake success just become too much and now you don't even care if what you write doesn't make sense ?

Your stannery is clouding your judgement

The Weeknd is a top tier rapper and you know this

Hell it could even be Quentin Mille or Tory Lanez ghostwriting.

Drakes pen game is forever in question and that's why he's still in his feelings, cuz he knows he lost the war

I'm probably one of the few people who can enjoy his music without being delusional about it

No one's gonna convince me to stop enjoying the music

But I ain't gonna be out here championing Drake as the king of this shyt like I used to back in the day

I feel alot of people feel this way but the only thing people see is his stans

He has plenty regular fans who lost respect and don't connect to the music as much as before but still enjoy it nonetheless

because he didn't write 8 bars of "10 bands 50 bands"

If you are actually a fan the difference between those experimental references and traditional Drake is clear as day. When dude talks about his family, relationships etc etc you know thats him. Even on Know Yourself the actual spittin parts were written by Drake.

Would make sense if you heard a reference that somebody wrote You and the 6 or something. In reality "Drake ain't a real rapper" started from early. You were probably one of those people and are acting like you only starting critiquing after the QM stuff

- More Life broke the Spotify record for the most streams for one album in a single day, with 61.3 million plays on Sunday, March 19.

Well Guess what? He Broke it again on March 20 with 64.06 million plays

- Meek sold 80k (inflated numbers, btw)

Yeah, Drake lost the war

That has nothing to do with the war

The war is the long-term effect

Drake won't even be Nelly status when all is said and done

You're right.

Drake will be remembered as a boundary-breaking, numbers-breaking, world record holding, global, super star (he is that already, btw) - while Nelly will be remembered as that southern rapper who started making country music

@seveninthechamber me personally I still think he's a better writer than 99% of rappers. He's written for himself and others and a lot of his music I don't think its even plausible for someone else to write it considering how personal it is.

But he's apart from a rapper a hit machine so he used swag (lol) templates a couple time :yeshrug: Do you seriously think Drake isn't a talented rapper at all?

I know Kanye has used probably a lot more help than Drake but I still view him as an elite writer. He wrote Find Your Love for Drake way back for example.

Meek removed him from the Hip Hop category. Now that he can't have that he's hoping the Grammy's put his music into strictly the pop category. But he doesn't have timeless music like a Michael Jackson or Prince. He can't sing and he needs help rapping.

He has all these millions but he won't be remembered 30 years from now in pop nor hip hop. Meek exposing him clearly still bothers him to this day.

He mos def will be remembered...

But more in a Marky Mark and the funkybunch way..

He knows once his core fan base gets older and sees thru the bs image the label created for him, he'll lose the one thing I think he wants most....respect.

That's why he wants to get back to acting asap.

I mean he's acting now...but like movies and shyt
