Let's go off of the last two years!!

In the top of 2014 this man releases mastermind really solid album with solid reviews and has done solid numbers to date.

The same year meek was stated to release his second studio album on mmg release date set and everything but we all know what happened.

Dam major set back as what would be perceived.

So what does rozay do he announces stalleys first major debut on mmg with a release date set out the bat.

Wow really stalley why would atlantic give him a release date let alone give ross the ok. This shyt will surely flop as it supposedly did but then again jeremiah ty dollar sign and a bunch of other artists just did those same numbers some more some less but who cares right a flop is a flop.,

Dam another supposed L I guess but it don't stop there rozay then announces his second release in one year and somehow def jam signed off on that. Dam how only 2 rappers in the history of hip-hop was able to pull that off 2pac and dmx.

Dam only 72,000 first week sales def jam was out of there minds.

But then rozay releases omarion first studio album on mmg not a smooth roll out not sure what that numbers looking like but it still spawned a major platinum hit single.

All in all all were really solid albums nothing but quality music.

You would think that would be considered a really good year for any rapper\CEO especially in the musical climate were in.

So bring it to 2015 wale releases his 3rd studio album on mmg. Really good album went number 1 in the country not a great first week number but they pushing.

Now it's meek turn wow really good first week numbers and really good album regardless of the other self inflicted drastic situations he was caught up in DWMTM was huge success.

Now let's get to rozay that same year randomly homie gets hit with some serious charges. We all know what happened.

After a few weeks locked up rozay gets out and announces black dollar. Come on rozay you just put out two albums out a year prior wtf that's too much dam music. nikkas already didn't want to appreciate hood billionaire.
A week or two later on the same day jeezy releases his single god rozay releases foreclosure with a big announcement,

Does anyone even remember what that god song sounded like?! Nah rozay regulated then releases black dollar.

Really dope mixtape great reviews the streets is talking rozay is in his bag.

Countless of quality throwaways then announces black market dam rozay nikkas haven't even finished appreciating black dollar wtf. We pushing though can't expected nothing but a classic.
,

Dam rozay what up with all these dope ass remixes wtf a Adele hello remix wow dopeness.

Black market Dec 4th but a week before it's release I got the renzel remixes coming out the same day 50 fab and Wayne are releasing their highly anticipated mixtapes.

But them nikkas haven't released anything substantial in years especially 50. Ross released 4 quality bodies of work and his remix mixtape is better than all those nikkas shyt.

And even scared fif bytch ass off but that was a really smart move by fif he would've gotten clowned based upon that bullshyt he finally released.

So dam black market was released really really really great album probably his best.

But dam what is this the first week numbers are looking really bad.

Dam that's not a good look he dam sure is finally falling off.

5 quality album level bodies of work in the span of a little less than 2 year's with tons of throwaways in between plus the albums his artist released singles merch touring mixtape mixtapes from other mmg artist and dam I forgot about gunplay album,,

Now let's add all that success and money up and this is all off the muscle of rozay

If anything, be prepared for the return of Trap Ross. He went away from it and flopped.

Somebody needs to tell Ross that he's not gaining new fans by releasing so much music, ironically it seems he's lost fans by those first week sales numbers

Where I shouldn't be
You summarised it well.

- Its a bit deeper than that though. He announced during the Black Dollar promo that he wanted to leave Def Jam and even had pics with him and LA Reid at Epic and Jay and RN. :francis:

NO label is ever gonna give you that proper push when you talk bout leaving, its just never happens, whether you reneg or not, budgets are getting cut to insure recoup.

- Also The Black Dollar mixtape was probably his most soulful release (1-2 trap odes) hence all us liked it, but the larger white demographic aint wanting that, sh!t they only started f%&kin with the man since BMF, so the hood loved it but the populous didn't. :stopitslime:

- Also the album & mixtape's names are too similar - as Brand guy, its straight confusing the consumer, you need to make it as simple as hell to sell not harder.:snoop:

- And lastly as you said the lead-up was perfect but this album had no lead single and Rozay has usually been great at having a mad amount of vlogs, behind-the-scenes and pure content but with no strong lead single ('One of us' ain't typical for him ) then it confuses the consumer. :jbhmm:

someone mentioned that it dont even seem like ross is chasing them mainstream numbers no more tho?

he might be trying to merge over into the freddie gibbs route (indie).

what was gibbs first week sales? i didnt see anyone on here calling his shyt a flop but he prolly aint do crazy #s

and it was independent, so hes cakin off most of it :patrice:
